Biography
Linda has been a midwife and academic for some 30 years working in various universities in NSW, Victoria and Tasmania. During this time Linda has been Coordinator of various Graduate Diploma Midwifery programs undertaking teaching and curriculum development of these.
Dr Susan Platt

New Zealand nurses' suspicion of child abuse: A qualitative study
Biography
Susan is a senior lecturer in nursing at AUT University in Auckland, New Zealand, who's research area of expertise is child protection. Her Doctoral research explored primary healthcare nurses’ experiences when working with children they suspect are being abused or neglected. Susan's current research project focusses on nurses’ suspicion of child abuse: how this arises, how they respond, any barriers they encounter when responding and any biases which inform their suspicion. Susan’s future research will be focussing on interprofessional responses to child abuse.
This year Susan has co-founded a nursing and midwifery child protection research collective with colleagues from Australia, Uganda and the Unites States of America, with the aim of supporting new and mid-career child protection researchers and promoting child protection research.
Ms Waikura Kamo

Biography
Waikura Kamo whakapapa to Te Atiawa o Taranaki and Ngati Mutunga o Chatham Island. She is the Kaiwhakahaere at nursing council and has over 20 years of nursing experience working in primary healthcare and education. Her role is to provide Te Ao Maori nursing strategic advice, direction, and guidance to influence the Councils regulatory strategic work.

Biography
I am a PhD student at RMIT University and completed my Master of Advanced Nursing at the University of Melbourne. I am also working as a lecturer and emergency nurse in Saudi Arabia.
