Utilising PowerPoint for both teacher and student efficiently
Presentation description
"Death by PowerPoint," has gained notoriety for their potential to bore and overwhelm students. When poorly executed, slides packed with text and bullet points can leave students disengaged and struggling to retain information. The monotony of slide after slide can lead to a loss of interest and attention, hindering the effectiveness of the learning experience.
When PowerPoint is used thoughtfully and creatively, it has the potential to assist and elevate the learning experience.
In this session: you will learn the following:
₀ Elevate your presentation skills
₀ Improve accessibility and comprehension for all students
₀ Apply different PowerPoint tools
₀ Utilise PowerPoint for different QCAA assessment
₀ Collaborate and provide feedback
₀ Create valuable resources
₀ Take home some useful cheat sheets
While PowerPoint presentations may have earned a reputation for being dull and overwhelming, they can be revitalised into powerful tools for learning and assessment when approached with creativity and intentionality.
