Presentation description
Guided discuss of the relevance of introducing Design into the Year 10 program. Look at ACARA and QCAA Assessment Objectives of the Senior Design program to see cross over and benefits. Show and Tell of what our school is currently delivering a Design program in Year 10 with samples of units. Open the discussion to how schools can develop client-based programs to ensure readiness of knowledge and skills going into Senior Design. There will be the opportunity to consider and develop project planning and scaffolds for your school.
Biography
Bachelor of Design in Fashion and Textiles UTS, Masters of Teaching Sydney University, teacher of Senior Design Technology in NSW, moved to QLD in 2019 and has been teaching Design Technology and Senior Design since.

Bachelor of Built Environment in Interior Design (QUT), Graduate Diploma in Education (Griffith). Montessori trained in Elementary & Adolescent programs (AMI). Industry experience in Interior Design, Space Planning and Project Management. Currently teaching Design Technologies, Senior Design, and Art.
