How we teach Advanced Manufacturing
Presentation description
This presentation is about what we, at St. Benedict's College, are doing to integrate advanced manufacturing into the classroom, providing students with hands-on, experiential learning opportunities across various grade levels, and we wish to share this with others. This comprehensive approach ensures that students are well-prepared for the demands of the modern workforce, equipped with the latest technological skills and innovative thinking. This presentation will provide insights into the equipment we use, the methods of how it is taught, and the problems we have experienced.
Biography
I have been the Design Technologies Curriculum Leader at St. Benedict's College for over five years, leading the integration of advanced manufacturing into our curriculum. Previously, I have worked at several colleges in various roles, including Director of Music, eLearning Developer, Curriculum Writer, Graphic Designer, and Production Teacher. My experience in managing facilities projects and training staff ensures the efficient operation of design facilities. Our advanced manufacturing curriculum includes hands-on projects across various grades, preparing students for the modern workforce. I have experience working in the STEM area and understand how it can be implemented in a sensible and manageable way.
