Presentation description
This hands-on session immerses teachers in how we can use visual thinking to enhance engagement, confidence, and a deeper conceptual understanding of Design and Technologies. Using Harvard University's Project Zero resources, I have targeted research and summarising skills to explore real-world issues, guiding students to solve problems through design. Elements of the student's visual design process were assessed, with final designs entered in the Toowoomba Royal Show’s Junior Floriculture section. Attendees will gain practical resources and interactive strategies adaptable to schools with varying digital technology access. Best suited for Years 8–10, this workshop provides immediately implementable techniques to foster creative and critical thinking.
