From collections to the classroom: Live from State Library

Presentation description

Join the State Library of Queensland’s Schools Engagement team as we showcase a diverse range of resources and learning opportunities designed specifically for Queensland teachers and students. Discover how the Library can support your teaching practice through onsite visits, interactive online experiences, or a combination of both. From curriculum-aligned classroom tools to dynamic student workshops, our offerings help bring learning to life.

This session features a live cross to the Library for an engaging ‘Show and Tell’ experience, highlighting unique items from our collections. Through an object-based learning approach—central to our online student workshops—we’ll demonstrate how historical and contemporary topics can be explored in ways that foster critical thinking and inquiry skills.

Whether you teach History, English, Media, or are fostering inquiry in the primary years, you’ll leave with fresh ideas, ready-to-use tools, and a direct connection to State Library’s Schools Engagement team—here to support you in bringing Queensland stories into your classroom.
