Biography
Bruce started his teaching career as an Industrial Arts teacher in Sydney government schools in 1978. He reached the role of Head Teacher in 1986 and then crossed over to Catholic Education in 1988. For the next five years he was employed as the Sydney Diocese Technology Education Consultant. In 1993 he moved to a similar consultancy position in the Lismore Diocese. In 1998 Bruce started to produce safety training resources for technology teachers. He sold these resources on a CD named TechSafe. This was the beginning of the company known today as OnGuard Safety. Bruce resigned from teaching in 2007 and spent the majority of his time developing safety resources and then creating the LMS that now drives OnGuard Safety. He still provides industry best-practice online machine safety training resources, and a comprehensive learning management system. The Learning Management System includes online training, testing, registers, inspection and maintenance registers.
