Overview: the session is designed for current or future teachers of the Fashion 2024 syllabus and will focus on building confidence in evidence-based, on-balance decisions using the ISS.
Learning goals: deepen understanding of valid and reliable assessment, explore practical strategies for collecting evidence, deepen understanding of making on-balance decisions.

Biography
Chale is a Home Economics teacher at Burpengary State Secondary College. She is passionate about providing students with opportunities to explore their creativity, develop technical skills and build confidence in using design processes to solve authentic, real-world problems. Chale has built the Fashion program at BSSC into a thriving subject, with high student enrolment numbers across Years 9-12. Senior Applied Fashion students are currently exploring innovative design solutions through the application of benchtop laser cutting, sublimation and 3D printing technologies.
