Biography

Yating Hu is a Ph.D. candidate in the school of education at the University of Queensland, Australia. Her research interests include international students’ mobilities, STEM education, gender inequality, and early career academics’ publishing experience in Chinese higher education. Yating Hu's work has appeared in several international peer-reviewed journals, such as International Journal of Intercultural Relations, Higher Education Research & Development, and Amfiteatru Economic.

Biography

Dr Kun Dai is an assistant professor at the Department of Educational Administration and Policy, Faculty of Education, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Dr Dai’s research interests include international and comparative education, transnational higher education and related policy, international student mobility, intercultural learning and adjustment. Dr Dai’s work has appeared in several international peer-reviewed journals, such as the Journal of Studies in International Education, Compare, Higher Education Research & Development, International Journal of Intercultural Relations, Assessment & Evaluation in Higher Education, and Oxford Review of Education.

Biography

Lynne Taylor is a Professor of Law at the University of Canterbury. Since 2014 she has co-led a longitudinal study of the Aotearoa | New Zealand law student and law graduate experience funded by Ako Aotearoa (the National Centre for Excellence in Tertiary Teaching). This successful project has resulted in multiple publications including "The Student Experience at New Zealand Law Schools” [2018] New Zealand Law Review 693; “Influences on students’ interest in a legal career, satisfaction with law school, & psychological distress: trends in New Zealand” (2021) The Law Teacher DOI: 10.1080/03069400.2021.1968166; “What Happens after Graduation? The Post-Law Experiences and Reflections of Aotearoa, New Zealand Law Graduates” (2022) Asian Journal of Legal Education http://dx.doi.org/10.1177/23220058221133653. Up until the end of 2022 she chaired the Teaching and Learning Committee of the Faculty of Law at the University of Canterbury. Lynne's other research interests include company law and insolvency law. She is the lead author of Insolvency Law in New Zealand and a co-editor of Corporate Law in New Zealand. Both of these treatises are cited frequently and favourably by the Aotearoa | New Zealand courts.

Biography

Natalie is a member of the Bond University Office of Learning and Teaching. She supports academics in developing effective, high-quality curricula, and assurance of learning. Natalie's research focuses on the academic attainment of assessment literacy, authentic assessment, constructive alignment, thresholds and standards, and leading change processes in higher education. Her prior research investigated the assessment of cognitive and transferable skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, communication and lifelong learning.
