Relational employability in action: Preparing students, educators and professionals for complex global challenges
Biography
Dr. Elizabeth J. Cook is a neurodivergent Research Associate in the Nutrition & Health Innovation Research Institute at Edith Cowan University (ECU). She co-manages the open access Journal of Teaching and Learning for Graduate Employability and is co-Chair of ECU’s Staff with Disability Network, which she helped establish. Elizabeth is an Advisory Board member of the Australian Centre for Student Equity and Success (ACSES), quite heavily involved with Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) Australia and is the Seminar Lead for the Open Access Publishing Association (OAPA). She holds a PhD in Higher Education Research, Evaluation and Enhancement with Lancaster University, and a Master of Teaching (Secondary) and Bachelor of Science, both from the University of Melbourne. Her research spans work-integrated learning, employability, higher education, evaluation, neurodivergence and public health.

Biography
Dr. Ruth Wallace is a Senior Lecturer in Public Health and Health Promotion Team Lead at ECU. A registered Public Health Nutritionist, accredited Mental Health First Aid Instructor and Senior Fellow of AdvanceHE, her research focuses on health literacy, health promotion and the scholarship of teaching and learning.

Dr Daniel Lee

Understanding of the pedagogical use of video in a higher education context: New research findings.
Biography
After years of miserable piano lessons, Dr Daniel Lee discovered his first passion when he first heard Jazz guitarists playing the blues. Since then he has had a successful career as a performing artist, having studied Jazz Guitar at the University of Adelaide's Elder Conservatorium. His second passion is education and he now holds a Masters Degree in International Education and his PhD research examined the cultural, implications of music education practices in Australian universities. He is currently working as a post-doctoral researcher for the University of Adelaide’s Digital Learning and Society Hub along side lecturing for the School of Education. His research includes examining virtual reality, artificial intelligence, social media, and online learning. A recent project explored the development of the phenomenon known as Epistemic Indulgence in which online self-directed learners navigate virtual resources deciding what they wish to learn, choosing the resources that they deem to best fit their learning needs and their learning style. He also recently investigated the concept of silicon snowball sampling for online research.

Biography
Professor Anthony Whitty is the Director of the Centre for Education and Innovation at ACU, and the creator of ACU Thrive and HELTA (Higher Education Learning and Teaching Academy). He has an extensive track record and commitment to good practice and the advancement of learning and teaching. His commitment to an inclusive and supportive environment that allows students, faculty, and staff to thrive and reach their full potential has been recognised with an AAUT Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Learning and Teaching. His exceptional leadership and continued fostering of a culture of excellence within the academic community has culminated in his Advance HE Strategic Leadership Programme certification.

Biography
Dr Benito Cao is Associate Professor in Politics and International Relations at the University of Adelaide. Benito has a vast teaching experience and has received numerous teaching awards, including the Faculty of Arts Executive Dean’s Prize for Excellence in Teaching in 2011 and 2016, a Commendation for the Enhancement and Innovation of Student Learning in 2016, a Special Commendation for the COVID-19 Emergency Teaching Response in 2020, and the Stephen Cole the Elder Award for Excellence in Teaching and Support for Learning in 2020. He is a member of the Adelaide Education Academy, Chair of the School of Social Sciences Learning and Teaching Portfolio, and Co-Director of the Bachelor of Arts. He is the author of Environment and Citizenship (Routledge, 2015) and the editor of Environmental Citizenship in the Indian Ocean Region (Routledge, 2021). He is currently experiencing and exploring the impact of generative artificial intelligence in his Politics courses.
