Dr Betul Sekendiz is Associate Dean (Scholarship) and Associate Professor Business (Sport Management) at the International College of Management Sydney. Her scholarship of learning and teaching research focuses on student‑centred, experiential, and inclusive pedagogies in sport management education, with a particular emphasis on learner engagement and transferable skill development through self‑reflection, communication and evaluative judgement. Dr Sekendiz has disciplinary expertise in risk management, work health and safety, and legal liability issues in sport and exercise settings. Grounded in constructivist and experiential learning theories, her work examines how innovative pedagogical approaches such as formative peer-assessment, game‑based learning, and LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® support deeper learning and professional capability development in higher education.

Professor Puspha Sinnayah is the Associate Dean of Research and Research Training in the First Year College at Victoria University, and a Research Fellow with the Institute for Health and Sport (IHES). She drives innovation in physiology education, transforming curriculum and pedagogy to improve student engagement, retention, and success. Her nationally recognised teaching includes a 2018 AAUT citation and a 2020 AAUT team award for curriculum design aligned with VU’s Block Model. She pioneered a flipped learning approach in anatomy and physiology that has improved outcomes for diverse and underrepresented students. She leads high-impact transition and professional learning initiatives that strengthen student pathways and enhance academic practice across the sector.

Associate Professor Christopher M Fisher is the Acting Dean and Chief Academic Officer for Victoria University (VU) Online. In this role, he provides academic, administrative, research and marketing leadership to achieve VU’s Strategic Plan. Christopher also currently heads the Health portfolio at VU Online, providing quality and assurance for the development and end-to-end delivery of the Graduate Certificate and Masters degrees in Public Health, Nursing, Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Mental Health Nursing and Mental Health. Christopher’s scholarship currently focuses on addressing equity gaps through fully online higher education, secure online assessment in the age of GenAI and the role of academic student support that supports high achievement in fully online postgraduate courses. Through Christopher’s previous research into adolescent sexual health and wellbeing, he maintains adjunct positions with The Kirby Institute (UNSW), ARCSHS and Department of Health Promotion (University of Nebraska).

Dr Bita Zaferanloo is a Senior Lecturer in Microbial Biotechnology and Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) at Swinburne University of Technology. She is recognised for her leadership in designing and evaluating transformative, student-centred curricula that integrate experiential learning, reflective practice, and digital pedagogy to enhance engagement, belonging, and career readiness. In January 2026, she was awarded Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) in recognition of her sustained impact and leadership in teaching and learning. Bita leads the Professional Internship unit within the School of Science, Computing and Engineering Technologies, where she has implemented an evidence-informed redesign combining co-teaching with career specialists, structured peer-to-peer learning, and gamified digital micro-learning. This model supports equitable participation across hybrid, online, and in-person contexts and uses learning analytics to inform early intervention and personalised support. She is the founder of the Shaping STEM Futures initiative and serves on the Organising Committee for the WIL Australia Conference, contributing to national leadership in Work-Integrated Learning and the scholarship of teaching and learning.
