Dr Suzanne Bonner is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland. She received her PhD from Queensland University of Technology (QUT), where her thesis examined fertility and family economics with an emphasis on applied econometrics and policy evaluation. Suzanne joined UQ in 2021, where her substantive role includes teaching cost-benefit analysis (CBA), shaping how students and professionals apply economic principles to real-world resource allocation and investment decisions. She also serves as Program Leader for the Bachelor or Economics. Prior to joining UQ, Suzanne was a lecturer at Macquarie University and Griffith University. Her more recent research has concentrated on the economics of education, the teaching and learning of CBA, and ethics in economics.

Dr Nigel Clay is a data science professional, with a PhD in mathematical modelling from RMIT and substantial experience in decision model design in Health insurance and Banking, as well as academic research. He has built models across risk, marketing, fraud, finance and operations functions. He is also a researcher with experience in machine learning, modelling perishable inventories and complex networks. At Swinburne, Nigel is Principal Data Scientist and creator of the Student Success Predictive Model, which uses student data to predict the likelihood of successful course completion. Professor Ruth Bridgstock ALTF PFHEA is Director of Student Insights and Outcomes at Swinburne University of Technology, where she leads institution-wide educational transformation programs, with an emphasis on personalisation, data, evidence and foresight informed practice, and technology-enabled innovation. Ruth is an internationally recognised researcher exploring topics around education for the future of life and work, educational innovation, and lifelong employability. Her overarching research interests relate to fostering future-capability – that is, how students, educators and educational institutions can learn and adapt to rapid and ongoing digital, social, and environmental changes. Ruth is Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, AAUT Award winner, and Australian National Senior Teaching Fellow.

Virginia Mawer has a multifaceted career spanning tertiary education and training, TESOL, the performing arts, art education, visual art and performance. Her interests include reflective teaching practices, writing-to-think, translating and performing, as well as innovation and using tech to increase experiential and embodied learning. She has pursued these interests through a Masters of Research in Visual Art and a Masters in Educational Psychology. Her research includes the creation of multiple ed-tech tools that promote data-driven reflective practices for both teachers and students, for which she was the recipient of the 2022 English Australia Action Research Award for her research with Centre for English Teaching and the Learning Hub at University of Sydney, and recipient of the Anne Burns Action Research Grant in 2023. Currently based in Sydney, she has taught across Australia but has near-constant dreams of international escape.
