Dr Grace Zeng is a Lecturer in the Curtin School of Allied Health whose scholarship focuses on work‑integrated learning and curriculum alignment in allied health education. Her current project, “Rethinking Final Placements,” examines the hidden dimensions of student learning that sit beyond competency frameworks—particularly personal growth, adaptability, and professional identity—using qualitative approaches including photovoice and reflexive thematic analysis. Grounded in evidence from student perspectives, her work challenges conventional placement models and argues for student‑centred designs that better prepare graduates for complex, real‑world practice. Grace Zeng teaches in allied health programs and contributes to institutional initiatives that enhance the student experience through authentic, practice‑based learning

LAM Siew Hong is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences (DBS), Faculty of Science, NUS. He is currently the department’s Assistant Head of the Undergraduate Matters and the Co-chair of the Department Teaching Committee. He is interested in creating rich environments for active learning, the use generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI) tools to enhance academic confidence in students, enhancing transferable employability skills to equip future-ready graduates. He is also interested in enhancing professional development of fellow educators.

Dr Melinda Laundon (SFHEA) is a Senior Research Fellow at Queensland University of Technology’s School of Management and the Australian Cobotics Centre. Her research interests focus on higher education, decent work, and learning and development. Her approach combines public policy, employment relations and human resources management approaches. Melinda is a member of the QUT Centre for Decent Work and Industry and has conducted research with government, industry and higher education organisations.

Dr. Nira Rahman specialises in Educational Design and Student Engagement within the Arts Teaching Innovation (ATI) team at the Faculty of Arts, University of Melbourne, Australia. Her work focuses on identity, positionality, and the intersections of language, culture, and learning, with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education. Her research highlights Students as Partners, co-creation of knowledge, and intercultural competencies. With extensive experience of teaching diverse student cohorts, Dr. Rahman addresses cross-cultural learning needs while fostering student voice, agency, and collaborative practices. A Senior Fellow of HERDSA, she actively contributes to international research collaborations and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) with a focus on inclusive education. She is also a published author in Bangla and writes for international media on culture, language, and identity, linking her academic work with personal insights.

Professor Rachael Hains-Wesson is the Associate Dean, Learning and Teaching at the School of Global, Urban and Social Studies, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Victoria, Australia. Rachael is a Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Young Australian recipient and has been recognised with a University of Western Australia Convocation and Teacher Excellence award. She has received a QS Reimagine Education award (2020), an Australian National Award for University Teaching (AAUT, 2021) and a fellowship in work-integrated research, Elon University, USA (2022-2024). Her research interests include work-integrated learning, academic development, and authentic assessments.
