Rachael Lim is an optometrist and PhD candidate at The University of Melbourne, where she investigates how reflective practice in conceptualised in optometry. She also teaches preclinical skills in the Doctor of Optometry program, supporting students’ professional development and clinical learning. Her research explores the role of reflection in teaching and shaping professional identities, and she is passionate about translating findings into practical strategies for both educators and practicing optometrists.

Adhvaidha Kalidasan is a lecturer at RMIT University Vietnam, where she has been teaching for the past three years. Her teaching interests are centred on Asian media and culture. She holds a PhD in Cultural Studies in Asia from the National University of Singapore. She is actively involved in curriculum delivery, assessment design, and student-facing initiatives across undergraduate communication and media programs at RMIT Vietnam. Beyond everyday teaching, Adhvaidha has led student engagements, including cross-campus workshops conducted in collaboration with NUS in 2025, storytelling through photography workshops at local universities in Vietnam, andshe has also collaborated with industry partners, including NGOs, to design and deliver communication challenges and panel discussions.Her teaching practice reflects an interest in experimenting with formats, partnerships, and activities that extend learning beyond traditional classroom settings.

Dr. Melissa Silk works extensively in a variety of learning contexts to enhance transdisciplinary pedagogy. Trailblazing STEAM education in Australia by forging a range of external partnerships between museums, industry professionals and academics working in a range of STEM to STEAM research and practice environments. Currently heading up the academic team at Whitecliffe Institute of Creative Arts and Technology where business, media and communications fuse with constantly evolving creativity and innovation in the fashion industry.

Colleen Hodgins is a Senior Educational Developer at CQUniversity, specialising in academic capability‑building, learning design and the integration of emerging educational technologies. She brings extensive experience across higher education, health, business and STEM disciplines, with a focus on designing human‑centred, collaborative professional learning that supports sustainable change in academic practice. Colleen is passionate about creating student‑centred learning experiences through co‑design with academics, students and industry partners, and has expertise in authentic assessment, hybrid learning, learning technologies and AI‑enhanced curriculum innovation. Her professional practice emphasises supportive, personalised engagement with educators to build confidence, reduce complexity and translate pedagogical theory into meaningful learning solutions. Colleen’s recent work includes leading cross‑disciplinary initiatives that apply conversational learning frameworks to support academics in exploring and designing AI‑supported learning activities, contributing to institutional strategies for GenAI capability development and technology‑enabled learning transformation.

Trine Paerata is a User Experience Designer at James Cook University, working at the intersection of learning design, digital platforms, and educational practice. Her work focuses on improving the usability, accessibility, and pedagogical effectiveness of digital learning environments, particularly within the Blackboard Learn Ultra LMS. Trine collaborates closely with educators, learning designers, developers, and institutional stakeholders to design frameworks, templates, and resources that support high-quality teaching at scale. With a strong grounding in technology-enhanced learning, universal design, and inclusive practice, Trine applies user research and evidence-informed methods to identify pain points and translate them into practical, educator-centred solutions. She has led large-scale LMS template redesigns, professional development initiatives, and sector-facing workshops, including accessibility and generative AI in teaching. Trine is particularly interested in how UX design can support sustainable teaching practices and improve learner experiences across diverse higher education contexts.
