Kythera is a university educator and senior researcher whose work spans curriculum design, media studies, gender studies, bioethics, disability studies, and critical social theory. They bring over fifteen years of teaching and educational development experience, having served as an Education Specialist for seven years and a sessional tutor for eight years in the School of Social Sciences, Media, Film and Education. Now based in EIX as a senior researcher, Kythera’s work includes leading research on the experiences, practices, and structural conditions shaping educators who teach first‑year units. Their current projects advance inclusive, reflective, and ethically grounded approaches to learning and teaching, with a particular focus on strengthening peer observation, supporting educator well‑being, and fostering collegial pedagogical practice.

Dr Kanchana Wijayawardena earned her Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka and her PhD from the University of Wollongong, Australia. She also holds a Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education (CTHE) and a CEDA qualification from the UK. With over 15 years of experience in higher education, she is currently a management academic at the University of Wollongong, teaching leadership, management, and organisational behaviour to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. She is actively involved in designing Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) modules for Business Capstone students. Her research focuses on diversity and inclusion, particularly among marginalised employee groups, and on teaching pedagogy, with a strong emphasis on the ethics of care and kindness in educational practice. She has published in teaching and learning research and is open to collaborations on pedagogical initiatives that support both student and staff well-being. Dr Prabhashini Wijewantha is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Human Resource Management, Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka. She holds a PhD from Management & Science University, Malaysia, an MBA from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka and a BSc HRM from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. With over 15 years of experience in higher education, she teaches across undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional programmes. Her subject areas include Leadership, Managerial Communication, Career Development, and International Business. She also serves as a visiting lecturer for postgraduate programmes at leading Sri Lankan universities. Her research interests include IHRM and global leadership, organisational behaviour, organisational politics, employee and student well-being, and the Pedagogy of Kindness. Dr. Wijewantha has published internationally, supervised research, and received prestigious fellowships, including Australia Awards, Erasmus+, and Erasmus Mundus.

Patricia Yu is an associate professor of educational policy and administration in the Department of Education at the National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU). Her research focuses on economics of higher education, with an emphasis on students’ college choices and higher education finance. According to her research performance, she has received the NSC/MOST Special Outstanding Talent Award granted by the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) in Taiwan every year since 2020. She holds a Ph.D. in higher education and a M.S. in educational leadership and policy analysis from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a B.Ed. in education from the National Taiwan Normal University.
