Associate Professor Anju Kalluvelil Janardhanan serves as the Deputy Dean at Southern Cross Institute, leading academic programs, staff development, and operational planning to enhance educational quality and student outcomes. Recognised for innovation, she has received Teaching Excellence awards from Swinburne University and Academic Excellence recognition from Federation University. Her teaching philosophy centres on student-focused learning, integrating reflective practice and purposeful use of technology to create inclusive, engaging environments. Her research spans Accounting, Finance, Management, and Higher Education, with publications in reputable journals and multiple awards. She contributes widely to the sector as an Online Learning Advisor, HDR supervisor, peer reviewer, and PhD examiner. She holds a PhD in Commerce, several postgraduate qualifications, and professional affiliations, including Associate Fellow of HERDSA, Fellow of IML ANZ, Associate of IFA UK, and memberships with IPA Australia, AICD, and AAIN.

Dr Helen Hickson is a Senior Lecturer in Social Work whose teaching and research focus on Indigenous social work education, critical reflection, and culturally responsive pedagogies in higher education. Her work examines how universities can more effectively support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, with a particular interest in supervision practices, relational learning, and the structural conditions that shape engagement and belonging for First Nations higher degree research candidates. Helen is currently part of a collaborative research team investigating the experiences of First Nations social work PhD graduates and candidates, with a focus on epistemological equity, racism in supervisory relationships, and the role of culturally grounded methodologies such as yarning. Her scholarship is informed by decolonising frameworks and a commitment to strengthening culturally safe pathways within the academy. Across her career, Helen has contributed to research on coercive control, wellbeing in the academic workforce, and the experiences of international and First Nations social work students. She is committed to building university environments where Indigenous knowledge is recognised, valued, and centred, and where supervision practices meaningfully support the aspirations, wellbeing, and success of First Nations HDR scholars.

Saw Hoon Lim is an education-focussed academic in the Department of Biochemistry and Pharmacology within the School of Biomedical Sciences at the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences. She is passionate about interdisciplinary teaching and learning and values the opportunity to explore and highlight the inter-connectedness across various themes and topics. She strongly believes in the collective wisdom of students and is a strong proponent of co-creation, breaking both hierarchical and disciplinary boundaries to achieve a meaningful and engaging learning experience for all.

Jiang-Li Tan is an education-focussed academic in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, School of Biomedical Science, Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences. He has a varied role that includes learning design, lecturing, tutoring, and subject coordination. His main subject area is human disease mechanisms; however, he also teaches in areas including interdisciplinarity. Jiang-Li has a keen interest in the ways students learn and apply knowledge, and his work in SoTL involves analysing student experience and performance data and thematic analysis to inform areas of his teaching practice and subject design to improve student engagement and application of subject matter.

Zeena is a lecturer in digital business transformation and program director for the Business Informatics Program at the University of Canberra with over 6 years of teaching experience at the Faculty of Science and Technology and over 5 years in research administration. Zeena is passionate about teaching and empowering students with transferable knowledge and skills to enable them to tackle not only familiar situations, but also new ones as they progress into their professional careers. She teaches across several knowledge areas including information systems management, systems analysis and modelling, business process modelling, knowledge management, IT and business alignment, IT governance, project management, and ICT and Engineering research methodology. In addition to teaching, Zeena is also interested in research on the connections between ICT knowledge in theory and practice, digital workplace transformation, leadership in hybrid work and employee engagement, leading with algorithms, WIL and industry-based IT certification, as well as other research interests in education and has several publications across these areas.

Dr Tierney Marey (she/her) is the Manager of Student Experience and Education Fellow (Student Belonging) for UNSW Faculty of Arts, Design and Architecture. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the UNSW School of Social Sciences. Tierney is a praxis-based professional specialising in equity and student experience in higher education and youth organisations, and a qualitative researcher with particular interest in embodiment and creative, queer, and intersectional feminist methods. Her current research and practice focus on sustainable equity work and student belonging in higher education, with a strong emphasis on meaningful student partnerships as a foundation for inclusive and transformative learning environments. Her person-centred approach draws on her professional and research background, alongside her lived experience. Tierney has published and presented in areas such as student experience, equity, LGBTQIA+ inclusion and identity, queering research methods, and inclusive education.

Ann Standish works in the Educational Strategy and Innovation team of the Centre for Education, Innovation and Quality (CEIQ) at RMIT, where she leads strategic educator capability programs and supports academics and professional staff in developing scholarship of teaching and learning projects. She has an academic background as a historian of settler colonialism in Australia, with a focus on white women’s participation in the colonial project. She also has a professional background in academic publishing, including as managing editor of leading international journal Cultural Studies Review and the Cultural Studies Books series. Her own publications include Australia Through Women’s Eyes (Australian Scholarly Publishing) and ‘Daisy Bates: Dubious Leadership’, in the collection she also coedited, Seizing the Initiative: Australian Women Leaders in Politics, Workplaces and Communities (eScholarship Research Centre, University of Melbourne).

Gabrielle is the Principal Advisor Academic for the Office of Indigenous Education, Research and Engagement at RMIT University. Gabrielle provides high level strategic advice to the Pro Vice-Chancellor Indigenous, and has responsibilities in learning and teaching, research, and curriculum innovation. Her role is two-fold: to progress the University’s strategic priority of developing a culture of respect and participation central to the goals of inclusion, diversity and Indigenous affairs; and to support the educational aspirations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and researchers. She leads work in collaboration with First Nation colleagues on the development of a university-wide approach to embedding Indigenous perspectives in curriculum through guiding principles. Gabrielle co-ordinates the Indigenous Research Network and she is a member of the Regenerative Futures Institution Management Group and an invited member of the cross institutional research project, Towards Culturally Regenerative Universities, offering advice on Indigenous knowledges, practices and protocols. Her research is broadly concerned with knowledge transfer in the field of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander research and education, curriculum innovation and regenerative futures. She is also a member of the Editorial Review Board for Higher Education Research & Development and peer reviews for the Australian Educational Researcher.

Associate Professor Megan Kalucy is an experienced psychiatrist and education focussed academic with clinical interests in youth mental health, psychosis, sleep and physical health of people living with severe mental illness. She is the Director of Teaching in the School of Clinical Medicine at the University of New South Wales, Sydney and leads the UNSW medicine psychiatry teaching program for the UNSW Discipline of Psychiatry and Mental Health. She is a passionate educator working tirelessly to improve education and practice in psychiatry and mental health at UNSW and beyond. As co-lead of the Mental Health Education Leads of Australia and New Zealand, she collaborates broadly to enhance mental health education in medical schools. Megan continues clinical practice through her work with the NSW Mental Health Review Tribunal and contribute as a writer and examiner for the Australian Medical Council.

Associate Professor Linda Ferrington is Academic Convenor for Phase 1 Medicine at UNSW's Rural Clinical Campus in Port Macquarie and Academic Co-Convenor at the Kensington campus. In this dual role, she leads curriculum design, teaching, assessment, and governance across metropolitan and regional settings, with particular expertise in creating engaging, inclusive learning experiences for adult learners in rural clinical education. With a PhD in neuroscience and a decade of postdoctoral experimental research experience, Linda transitioned to medical education, bringing rigorous scientific thinking to pedagogical innovation. Since relocating from Scotland to Australia in 2017, she has championed place-based academic practice, developing approaches that leverage the unique assets of regional education settings and strengthen program integration across distributed campuses. Linda's commitment to student-centred education and wellbeing was recognised with a UNSW award in 2023 for outstanding contributions to student wellbeing. Her work exemplifies how asset-based approaches to regional academic development can transform educational outcomes in rural clinical training.

Pearl Subban is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at an Australian university and an internationally recognised scholar in equity, race, and inclusive education. Her research focuses on the racialised and gendered experiences of women academics of colour, examining academic labour, professional identity, and the institutional conditions shaping teaching, leadership, and care work in higher education. Grounded in Critical Race Theory, feminist, and decolonial scholarship, her work interrogates how equity commitments are enacted and unevenly recognised within universities. Pearl holds senior leadership responsibilities in equity and inclusion and regularly advises on anti-racism, inclusive pedagogy, and organisational change. She is also a teacher educator with a background in English education and a strong commitment to relational, justice-oriented teaching.
