Eva Coussens is a research assistant for the Educating for Change project. Eva graduated with a combined degree in Criminology (Honours) and Psychological Sciences from Flinders University. She commenced her PhD Candidature in Criminology in 2023, focusing on the influence of advocacy groups on modern slavery policy and programs in Australia. Eva is a Tutor at Flinders University, specialising in modern slavery and human trafficking. She has a strong interest in bridging research and practice to strengthen evidence-based responses to serious exploitation.

Nguyen Thi Vinh Phuc holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences and is currently pursuing a second Master’s degree in Higher Education. Her research focuses on international student engagement. She had over three years of experience working with non-profit organizations and international companies on educational programs that foster international understanding among school students through collaborative learning with international students from various universities in Japan. She is currently working as a project assistant at the UNITAR Hiroshima Office.

Dr Kanchana Wijayawardena earned her Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, and her PhD from the University of Wollongong, Australia. She also holds a Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education (CTHE) and a CEDA qualification from the UK. She teaches leadership, management, and organisational behaviour at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels as a management academic at the University of Wollongong. She actively contributes to the design of Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) and is a member of WIL Australia. Her research focuses on diversity and inclusion, particularly among marginalised employee groups, and on teaching pedagogy, with an emphasis on the ethics of care and kindness in higher education.
