Hui Ting Chng, Ph.D., is a Senior Lecturer with the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, National University of Singapore and registered pharmacist with the Singapore Pharmacy Council since 2009. She is a dynamic and passionate educator, with the expertise to bridge the teaching of cross-disciplinary pharmacy practice and pharmaceutical sciences, and interdisciplinary arts and sciences. She is adept at using various active and collaborative learning pedagogies such as jigsaw, fishbowl discussions and visual thinking strategies, underpinned by constructivist, motivational learning, and cognitive load theories, to engage students in their learning. Her education research interests are on interprofessional and interdisciplinary education, active and collaborative learning pedagogy, mentorship, motivation in learning and empathy. Her disciplinary research interests are in the areas of pharmacokinetics of drugs used in veterinary medicine and drug information.

Jennifer Estes is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the National University of Singapore and a member of the NUS Teaching Academy. Her research lies at the intersections of the anthropology of education, the anthropology of youth, and economic anthropology.

Marissa E Kwan Lin is Senior Lecturer in the Centre for English Language Communication at the National University of Singapore and a member of the NUS Teaching Academy. Her research interests include systemic functional linguistics, critical multimodal discourse studies and conceptual metaphor theory.

Lee Russell is a full-time Teaching Assistant and part-time PhD student at the National University of Singapore's Department of Psychology. His research interests mainly lie in the domain of education, with an inclination towards how elements of cognitive and social psychology can contribute to both teaching and learning. His dissertation work explores different forms of interest in the classroom, how they can be induced and how they may affect different pedagogical outcomes.

Chee Onn KU currently serves as a full-time teaching assistant at the Special Programme in Science (SPS) and the Department of Biological Sciences (DBS), at the Faculty of Science (FOS), NUS, teaching undergraduate classes within the SPS, and the College of Humanities and Sciences (CHS).

Dinithi Ravindrika Samarakoon is a Registered Nurse, academic, and Program Convenor of the Nursing Program at the Edith Cowan University (ECU), Sri Lanka Campus. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Kotelawala Defence University. She is also currently reading for a Master’s in Nursing Education at Lincoln University, Malaysia. Dinithi has gained extensive clinical experience working in both government and private healthcare institutions in Sri Lanka, including the National Hospital, General Hospital, University Hospital KDU, and Lanka Hospitals Pvt Ltd. Alongside her academic role, she has contributed to national and international research projects, notably a multi-country study with the International Developmental Research Centre (IDRC). Her research interests lie in the areas of nutrition and disease risk, childhood obesity, non-communicable diseases, and child health nursing. She has presented her work at several international conferences and was awarded the Early Career Travel Scholarship by the International Union of Nutritional Sciences (IUNS) at the 22nd International Congress of Nutrition in Tokyo, Japan. Dinithi is also an active member of professional organizations, including the Nutrition Society of Sri Lanka and the Graduate Nurses’ Foundation of Sri Lanka. Passionate about advancing healthcare education and research, she is currently seeking PhD opportunities to further contribute to the field of nursing and health sciences.

Caroline Xin Liu is a PhD candidate in the Faculty of Education, the University of Hong Kong. Her research interests include university student experiences, feedback literacy, and assessment.

Jan-Christoph Ohnesorge is a doctoral research fellow at the German Centre for Higher Education Research and Science Studies (DZHW).

Shirin Reiter is a doctoral research fellow at the German Centre for Higher Education Research and Science Studies (DZHW) and a research fellow at the Department of Sociology at Leibniz University Hannover, Germany.

Dr Jyothi Kumar is the Dean of the Campus and Director of the Teaching and Learning Enhancement Cell (TLEC) at CHRIST University. A United Board Fellow, she has also completed a summer course at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education (USA). With 26 years of teaching experience, she has taught General Management, Finance, Taxation, and Strategic Management at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She has held several academic leadership roles, including Coordinator of the BBA International Program, Coordinator of the Student Council, and member of Internal Quality Assurance and Total Quality Management systems. She holds a PhD in Strategy, with research titled Organizational Sustainability: A Study of Corporate Organizations in the Indian Context. Her research interests include sustainability, student skill development in higher education, and teaching-learning effectiveness. She serves as a resource person at the Centre for Sustainable Development, and has presented widely at national and international conferences, receiving Best Paper awards.

Dr Maya M is a Sociology faculty member and Coordinator of the Teaching Learning Enhancement Cell (TLEC). Her research focuses on Indigenous communities, ecology and conservation, education, health, and development. She contributed to the IFCU-funded project “Continuing Education for Disadvantaged Adolescents in South Asia.” An experienced blended-learning practitioner, she designs online curricula, develops open educational resources, and leads assessment planning, rubric design, and online evaluation. She completed the Teaching and Learning Community Exchange Programme with the Network of Conservation Educators and Practitioners at the American Museum of Natural History (July 2020). She also earned a Professional Certificate in Adaptive Design Learning from Ateneo de Manila University (Sept–Dec 2021), funded by the United Board. She is currently part of a United Board–funded research project on Whole Person Education.

The presenting author is an English teacher at Global Darussalam Academy, a newly established International Baccalaureate (IB) School in Indonesia. She is a recipient of the Indonesian government scholarship, The Indonesian Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP), and completed a Master of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at Monash University, Australia, in 2025. Her academic and professional interests focus on bilingual education in the Indonesian context, where learners commonly navigate more than two languages. She is particularly interested in how code-switching is perceived and utilized as a pedagogical tool in bilingual classrooms, especially within schools that adopt differing language policy positions. Through her research, she aims to develop a deeper understanding of how first language use may support or constrain second language learning, informing classroom practice and contributing to more inclusive, context-sensitive language policies in bilingual school settings.

Witwatersrand (Wits) and is responsible for leading academic support, the management and evaluation of the Department of Higher Education and Trainings’ grants and central co-ordination of advising at her institution. Dr. Moosa has served on various national working groups, providing input instrumental to changes in the South African Higher Education landscape. Her discipline background is in Planning and in addition, she has an MEd in Curriculum, Education Policy and Management of Teaching and Learning. She obtained an international doctorate from the University of Bath (UK) and was awarded the Richard and Sherley Mawditt award for outstanding academic achievement. Her research interests are in higher education, academic advising, student success, evidence-based practice and programme evaluation.

Xueying ZHANG is a Ph.D. candidate in the School of Education and Languages at Hong Kong Metropolitan University, specializing in artificial intelligence and educational technology. Her doctoral research interests center on the application of generative artificial intelligence in language learning. Adopting a mixed-methods approach, she integrates qualitative depth with quantitative analysis to examine experiential perceptions and objective effectiveness, contributing to the advancement of AI-enhanced language pedagogy. Dr William Tang is an Assistant Professor of the School of Education and Languages at Hong Kong Metropolitan University. He obtained his doctoral and master’s degree in Information Technology in Education from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Dr Tang has actively promoted Information Technology in Education by designing and teaching various Information Technology in Education training courses for pre-service and in-service teachers.

The author of this article, Lu Chi-Hisu, is a doctoral student in the Administrative Policy Group of the Department of Education, National Kaohsiung Normal University, and research focuses on higher education, education policy, education administration, stakeholders, and educational evaluation. The author has long been concerned about the impact of education policies on educational equity and the impact of generative AI development trends on higher education operations.

Ms. Hu is an Ed.D. candidate at the School of Education, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. She currently serves as an Associate Professor and Deputy Director of the Faculty of Foreign Languages at the College of International Business and Economics, Wuhan Textile University. Her research interests include career-oriented foreign language education, as well as intercultural communication.
