Dr. Yaoko Matsuoka retired from a Japanese university and is currently pursuing another higher degree at a UK university, in addition to serving as an Online Faculty and Faculty Evaluator at a US online university. She is the representative of AI & College English Education SIG at JACET. Her research includes AI in higher education, AI and academic ethics, pragmatics, OER in language learning, and open scholarship.

Dr. Hiroyuki Ida is an Associate Professor at The University of Kitakyushu, Japan. Dr. Ida holds a PhD in Higher Education. His research interests include applied linguistics and higher education, with a particular focus on how people read and write in specific contexts, such as research settings.

Dr. Yuka Muraoka is a Professor and the Head of the Department of European and American Culture in the Faculty of International Cultural Studies at Seigakuin University, Japan. Her research interests include English education, applied linguistics, and second language acquisition, with a focus on shadowing.

jessica tyrrell is a lecturer at the University of Sydney Business School with over a decade of experience in the tertiary sector across teaching, educational research and educational design and development.

Dr Melina Mallos is a Lecturer in Visual Art Education at the University of Melbourne. Her research and teaching focus on culturally responsive arts pedagogy, digital storytelling and arts‑based methods that foreground migrant identities and multilingual creative practice. Mallos’s PhD examined how Greek migrant youth in Melbourne communicated identity through new media practices during the COVID‑19 global lockdown of 2020. She holds a Master of Education (Research) and a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) from the Queensland University of Technology. In 2010 she was awarded a three‑month Queensland–Smithsonian Fellowship to investigate object‑based learning at the Smithsonian Early Enrichment Center in Washington, D.C. Prior to her academic appointment, Mallos developed museum education programmes and resources for educators, families and schools at institutions including the Museum of Chinese Australian History (Melbourne) and the Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA). She is the author of the bilingual picture book Catch that Cat! (Greek and English) and regularly leads arts‑based workshops with migrant young people. Her work bridges scholarly research and creative practice to inform inclusive, technology‑enabled approaches to teacher education and community arts programs.
