Thulaisiharan Sivapalan is an Education-Focused Lecturer and Associate Course Coordinator in the Integrated First Year (IFY) program at UNSW Business School. As a Chartered Accountant, he brings prior industry experience into his teaching and curriculum design. His work focuses on experiential learning, assessment design, and interdisciplinary teaching in large first-year cohorts.

Professor Ling Mei Cong has over 20 years of experience working in universities across the Asia-Pacific region. She is currently the Deputy Dean, Learning and Teaching, at the School of Management, RMIT University. Ling Mei is passionate about using experiential learning and digital pedagogies for career skill development. She is a recipient of prestigious international and national teaching awards, such as QS Reimagine Education Gold Medal in Immersive Experiential Learning and the Australian Awards for University Teaching (AAUT) Citation Award. Her research focuses on technology-enhanced learning, as well as the intersection of internationalisation, innovation and corporate performance. She is a Fellow member of ACCA.

Professor Kathy Douglas leads the College of Business and Law learning, teaching and quality portfolio including governance, student satisfaction, program development and innovation in pedagogy. She is an experienced Executive leader who has focused on developing transformative educational experiences and impactful research. Kathy undertakes research in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) including dispute resolution practice and education. She has been a member of the Australian Dispute Resolution Advisory Council and a co-founder of the ADR Research Network. She has published widely regarding legal education, blended learning and technology aided learning.

Dr. Alvedi Sabani is a Senior Lecturer and Program Manager of the Bachelor of Commerce at the College of Business and Law , RMIT University. Dr. Sabani leads the Multicultural Inclusion and Organisation theme at the RMIT Centre for Organisations and Social Change, demonstrating his commitment to fostering inclusion in technology adoption and digital transformation. His research interests are broad and interdisciplinary, spanning artificial intelligence, blockchain, gamification, and innovative pedagogy. As a co-founder of the RMIT GamifiED Hub, Dr. Sabani has been instrumental in driving scholarly innovation in learning and teaching through gamification.

Dr Pranit Anand is a Senior Lecturer at the UNSW Business School and leads their cybersecurity specialisation programs. His research sits at the nexus of cybersecurity awareness and education, allowing him delve into the complexities of making cyber and risk governance accessible for all levels of an organisation.

Jinqi is a Senior Interdisciplinary Lecturer in Interdisciplinary Education within Interdisciplinary and Engaged Learning, Division of Curriculum Futures at the University of Sydney. She collaborates with industry, community, and government partners to design and deliver interdisciplinary Industry and Community Projects for students across all faculties. Her teaching focuses on leading senior student teams to address authentic industry challenges and develop innovative, socially responsive solutions. Her research spans diversity in education, international and intercultural learning, interdisciplinary pedagogy, and Confucian Heritage Culture (CHC) education. She works with practice based methodologies, including collaborative ethnography and participatory action research, to investigate how students navigate cultural, disciplinary, and professional differences in collaborative learning environments.

Denise D’Cruz is a Learning Designer and PhD candidate at Curtin University (Perth, Western Australia). Her research focuses on Universal Design for Learning (UDL) as an inclusive pedagogy in online higher education. As a learning professional, Denise has developed course design standards and guidelines that incorporate UDL principles for the Faculty of Business and Law (Curtin University). She has made a sustained contribution to supporting student success and graduate outcomes by providing strategic guidance while building teaching capability across the faculty. Before entering higher education, Denise provided learning solutions for K-12 education and corporate training, covering a wide range of subjects in India, the USA and Australia.

Dr Noosha Ehya is a Senior Learning Facilitator and Subject Coordinator in the Faculty of Health Sciences at TUA. She integrates active learning strategies and metacognitive approaches into her teaching to foster deeper student learning. Her professional interests include educational research and identifying strategies to enhance curriculum design and delivery. Noosha has engaged in collaborative curriculum focused initiatives through her involvement in the Scholarly Teaching Think Tank Working Group.

Dr. Sharyn Carnahan, Acting Program Director at Torrens University Australia, has nearly 35 years of experience in health education. She is involved in various learning and teaching processes, including curriculum development, online and hybrid learning. Dr Carnahan has widespread networks and can draw on diverse expertise of colleagues to facilitate positive collaborations and achievements. She is involved in a number of research projects within Torrens University and cross-institutionally related to student engagement and retention.

Serena is a lecturer at UNSW with more than 20 years of clinical experience as senior physiotherapist in Cardiothoracic surgery and ICU in a tertiary hospital, Sydney, Australia. Currently, Serena is engaged in post-hip fracture research, exploring the utilisation of Rehabilitation In The Home (RITH) in collaboration with the ANZ Hip registry, SWSLHD and NSW ACI. Her interests also encompass other cardiorespiratory areas, including respiratory, critical care and surgeries. She has experience in both quantitative (RCT) and qualitative methodologies (e.g. Systematic reviews with meta-analysis, and surveys). As an Education Focused lecturer, Serena is committed to curriculum development and teaching the next generation of physiotherapy students. She particularly enjoys developing learning activities and deliveries that are outside the traditional scope of practice and utilising current technologies and software to boost students’ engagement and learning. Serena finds inspiration in her students and aims to inspire them in return.

Associate Professor Kelly Linden is a 2025 ACSES Equity Fellow, studying how universities can better support part-time students. Over the last 10 years, Kelly has developed and led retention work across Charles Sturt University which has resulted in a number of publications and national and international awards. Her research interests are student engagement, success, retention and feedback with a particular focus on supporting equity students.

Ekaterina (Katya) Pechenkina is a cultural anthropologist, Teaching and Learning scholar, and award-winning senior lecturer at Swinburne University of Technology. Her research focuses on impact and evaluation in education, as well as on understanding how educators and students experience technological change.

Susan is Professor of Lifelong learning at the University of Auckland. She is interested in adult learning, employability and student wellbeing. She is a Principal Fellow of Advance HE and a HERSA Fellow.

Associate Professor Roula Kyriacou is the Associate Dean, Clinical and Professional Education, in the School of Health & Biomedical Sciences at RMIT University. She leads innovation in work-integrated learning and placement preparedness, enhancing student engagement and workforce readiness across health and biomedical disciplines. A national award-winning educator and Senior Fellow of Advance HE (UK), Roula drives initiatives that strengthen partnerships between academia and industry, build educator capability, and support students and supervisors in an evolving and disrupted workforce. Her work reflects a strong commitment to student-centred excellence and collaborative professional development.
