From walnut to tennis ball… size matters when it comes to prostate imaging
Presentation description
Size matters when it comes to prostate imaging. A large prostate in combination with a high prostate significant antigen (PSA) level does not necessarily read sinister, correlation with diagnostic findings must be considered in identifying the likely presence of prostate cancer. MR imaging contributes invaluable anatomical and physiological information, however its diagnostic capability can be hindered if the entire prostate is not encompassed within scan coverage. This presentation explores from a Radiographers perspective the intricate relationship between spatial and temporal resolution, scan time, patient presentation and clinical information for prostate imaging.
