Perinatal Post-Mortem MRI - Connecting the Dots
Presentation description
This presentation explores the role of perinatal post-mortem MRI as a non-invasive approach to investigating fetal and neonatal death. It will examine the reasons for performing post-mortem MRI, including supporting diagnosis and providing valuable information for parents and clinicians. The presentation will outline key scanning techniques, including protocols, positioning, sequences and considerations for image quality. It will also consider the emotional aspects of postmortem imaging. Finally, case studies will be explored, highlighting how postmortem MRI can complement other investigations, help support families and guide future pregnancy planning.
