Presentation description
This presentation introduces My Outback MRI, a children’s book written and illustrated by radiographer Cortny Donald to help prepare paediatric patients for an MRI examination. Through storytelling and familiar Australian animals, the book explores key aspects of the experience, including changing into a hospital gown, wearing hearing protection, hearing loud noises and remaining still. The presentation gets explores how storytelling can serve as an accessible learning tool, with the aim of building familiarity, reducing anxiety and supporting a more positive MRI experience for children and their families.
