He has a strong curiosity for healthcare, medicines, and anatomy, and is particularly interested in exploring hospital pharmacy. Outside of his studies, Stephen enjoys going to the gym, playing golf, and painting.

Prof Louise Brown

Professor Louise Brown is a Professor (Teaching) at the School of Pharmacy, University College London (UCL) within the Practice & Policy department. She has held this position since October 2021 and contributes extensively to teaching and academic leadership within UCL. Professor Brown’s work focuses on pharmacology and pharmaceutical sciences, with a strong interest in curriculum development, pedagogy, and engineering practice and education. Her academic activities support the advancement of innovative teaching practices and the development of future professionals in health and science disciplines. Her work aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Good Health and Wellbeing (SDG 3) and Quality Education (SDG 4).

Biography

Kyle John Wilby is a Professor and Director of the College of Pharmacy at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada. Originally from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, he earned a BSc in Pharmacy from the University of Saskatchewan (2008), a hospital residency at Vancouver Coastal Health (2009), a post-graduate PharmD from the University of British Columbia (2012), and a PhD in Health Professions Education from Maastricht University (2019). He has worked internationally in public health and university settings, including Ghana, Qatar, New Zealand, and Canada, and is a member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, providing global education on health equity and 2SLGBTQIA+ health. His educational research spans instructional design, student wellness, assessment, accreditation, and program evaluation. He has led curricular reforms globally and focuses on modernizing licensing pathways and improving experiential learning assessment. He has published over 150 peer-reviewed papers and serves as Associate Editor for the American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education.

Amanda Chung is a third year undergraduate Pharmacy student from Monash University. She currently works part time at Chemist Warehouse, and casually as a pharmacy technician at Austin Health and The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital. She is passionate about supporting the local and wider community through volunteering and various leadership roles within the university. As a future pharmacist, Amanda is committed to delivering patient-centred care and advocating for positive health outcomes.

Biography

Dr Mark Cheong Wing Loong is currently the Deputy Head of School (Education) at the School of Pharmacy, Monash University Malaysia. His research focuses on improving access to health systems and healthcare services, and how palliative care approaches can improve healthcare for all. Dr Cheong also studies the lived experiences of people who interact with, use, or work in healthcare systems, as well as unmet needs of people living with complex life-limiting illnesses. Dr Cheong has been a collaborator and consultant with both Malaysian and international civil society organizations on health advocacy projects on palliative care, access to medicines and healthcare, and health inequalities. Dr Cheong is currently a Visiting Scholar at the Maybank ASEAN Research Center at the Asia School of Business, and a Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health (FRSPH, UK). He was previously a Visiting Fellow at the United Nations University – International Institute for Global Health. He is also a member of the National Palliative Care Services Development Committee, Ministry of Health Malaysia. Dr Cheong is a registered pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Malaysia.

Prof Lisa Nissen

Biography

Professor Nissen is Director, and Taylor Family Chair, of the Centre for the Business and Economics of Health (CBEH) at The University of Queensland. She has been a prominent health practitioner leader, educator, researcher, and implementation scientist nationally and internationally for more than 25 years. Professor Nissen focuses on strategic collaborations across the healthcare continuum with key partnerships in government, professional boards, associations, university, and other industry and consumer groups. These have led to the implementation of multiple complex practice change interventions. She has a proven record of bringing together these groups to focus on establishing multidisciplinary care teams to provide consumer-centric health care. A pharmacist by training, her research has driven major health system change, notably leading to the introduction of immunization services by pharmacists throughout Australia and more recently the Urinary Tract Infection Pharmacy Pilot – Queensland, both Australian firsts. She is a member of the Queensland Health Voluntary Assisted Dying Review Board, the Optometry Council of Australia and New Zealand Board, and the AHPRA scheduled medicines expert committee. Lisa is a Fellow of the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia, the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia, the Hong Kong Practicing Pharmacists Association and the International Pharmacy Federation.
