Deb had a varied background prior to entering Parliament, managing cattle and cropping properties whilst also owning a law firm specialising in family and property law. Elected to Parliament in 2012 she was Assistant Minister for Finance, Administration and Regulatory Reform and Assistant Minister to the Premier throughout the Newman Government. In Opposition, she became the first female leader of the Liberal National Party. Part of Deb’s remit as Attorney-General is to work with industry stakeholders to ensure positive reform of the strata sector in Queensland. This is something we are excited to work with her on. We are incredibly grateful to have Deb open our conference and look forward to an insightful discussion on the future of strata.
