Juliette was admitted as a Solicitor in 1993 after obtaining an Honours Degree in Law from Bond University. She has been an involved member of our Strata Industry since late 1990s. She can make complex legal issues look easier than assembling flat-pack furniture—without the leftover screws! With a specialisation in construction litigation on behalf of bodies corporate, Juliette is here to guide us through the legal barriers to achieve a well maintained, and insured, building. Settling a dispute like a master diplomat, with a touch of legal magic and a sprinkle of charm.

Micheal Applebee is the National Facilities Manager for MLR at Accor with over 15 year’s experience in Hotel R&M & facilities management within the strata sector on the Gold Coast & Northern NSW Region. Specializing in Hotel Facilities Management & with a trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Micheal uses that experience to assist the management of over 100 properties in the MLR & HMA Strata portfolio for Mantra Group & now Accor. By focusing on efficient work process, good asset management & communication, Micheal has been able to put his previous experience to good use across a vast range of properties that include, Mantra Legends (405 lots), Mantra Twin Towns (464 lots), Mantra on View (403 Lots) & Peppers Soul (300 lots). Over the years, Micheal’s strengths & innovative approach at Accor have garnered some recognition by the implementation on the National Facilities Manager role. In his first year of the Facilities Management Role for Accor, there was a $3.41M difference in year on year results all due to efficiency, asset management & financial planning

Beginning his career in luxury real estate and property management, Dakota has spent the last 5 years with the Solutions IE Group, building relationships with thousands of managers, owners, committee members and industry stakeholders across Australian & New Zealand. Speaking at over 100 events and seminars Dakota has a true passion for educating the strata industry on the importance of maintenance planning and execution. Dakota adopts the philosophy that your strata levies are your subscription fee to continue living in the building and that owners shouldn’t have the ability to vote down or manipulate these costs. Dakota works with managers and committees across APAC to ensure that they are aware of their maintenance and repair obligations and the best way to plan for the inevitable future of building expenditure.
