Jane has been a part of the BCCM office since 2008 and was appointed Commissioner in 2022. The BCCM office operates within a complex legislative environment and is the only dedicated office of its kind in Australia, supported by a highly skilled team. As a leader, Jane is committed to continuous improvement and fostering the development of the team to ensure the best possible support for Queenslanders. Before joining the Department of Justice, Jane served as a Queensland Police Officer for 10 years, a career highlight. Additionally, Jane has experience in the private sector as a human resources manager, working between government roles. Further demonstrating a diverse professional background, Jane also owned and operated a small business in Yaraka, one of the most remote towns in Queensland.
