Dr Phoebe Lepper
Trauma Fellow
Townsville Hospital and Health Service
Presenter
Biography
Phoebe is a newly minted intensivist taking a side-step into the world of trauma as the inaugural “Trauma Connect Fellow” at Townsville University Hospital. Over the last year she has been shocked to discover research is not a dirty word and there is much less blood than anticipated in trauma land. She spends most of her day with the trauma CNCs and nurse navigator ensuring patients access the care they need regardless of where they are based – and the rest hearing from them in clinic how great it is to be home. Very soon she'll be back in ICU but this time exchanging the tropical North for cattle country in Central Queensland.
