Biography
Dr. Alicja J. Urbaniak is an Instructor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and a Full Member of the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute. She also serves as Chair of the Partnerships Committee at the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET) and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Division for Drug Discovery and Development. In addition, she is a Social Media Coordinator for the journal Pharmacology Research & Perspectives.
Dr. Urbaniak has extensive experience in oncology drug discovery, with a focus on drug repurposing and immunopharmacology in treatment-resistant and metastatic cancers. She has authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications and secured competitive research funding. She is also actively engaged in mentoring trainees and advancing professional development initiatives within scientific societies.
