Biography
Dr. Sudhir Chandra Sarangi is a clinical pharmacologist with expertise spanning Clinical Pharmacology, Neuropsychopharmacology, Pharmacovigilance, Drug Safety, Pharmacogenetics, Pharmacoeconomics, and Computational Pharmacology. He has contributed to over 50 research papers in indexed journals, 10 book chapters, and holds six patents, with an H-index of 16, i10-index of 21, and 606 citations.
Dr. Sarangi has received multiple awards, including the Best Poster Award at ISCOMS 2024 (Groningen, The Netherlands) and Best Paper Awards at the Joint Annual Conference of the Indian Epilepsy Society and Indian Epilepsy Association (ECON 2021, 2023). He has been awarded bursaries from the 34th and 35th International Epilepsy Congresses and received ICMR International Travel support to attend the 33rd International Epilepsy Congress in Bangkok, Thailand.
He serves as Deputy Coordinator of the Pharmacovigilance and Materiovigilance program at AIIMS, New Delhi, and is an executive committee member of the Indian Epilepsy Society. He is also a member of the SAE subcommittee of the Institute Ethics Committee and an inspector in the GLP program under NGCMA, DST, Government of India.
Dr. Sarangi is an active member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (India), Indian Epilepsy Society, Indian Pharmacology Society, Indian Society of Rational Pharmacotherapeutics, The Association of Physiologists & Pharmacologists of India, Society of Toxicology (India), Indian Society of Nanomedicine, and the Delhi Pharmacological Society.

Dr. Peng-fei Wu is a Professor in the Department of Pharmacology, School of Basic Medicine, Tongji Medical College at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. His research focuses on: 1) Metabolic Neuropharmacology, 2) Mechanisms and Novel Therapeutic Strategies for Stress-Related Psychiatric Disorders, and 3) Chemical-Biological Psychiatry.

Dr. Rashmi Patil holds a PhD in Pharmacology from Poona College of Pharmacy, BVDU, India. Her research work has mainly focused on neuroscience, with special emphasis on metabolic diseases-induced depression. She has published research papers and presented her work at international conferences. Alongside her interest in pharmacology, she is skilled in illustration, thereby bridging the gap between science and the general public and making science more accessible and understandable. She is presently a Global Art in Medicine Coordinator and a member of the World Women in Neuroscience Committee.

The synergistic effect of dextromethorphan and scopolamine on depression-like behaviours in mice
Biography
Dr. Mahdiyeh Safary is a pharmacology researcher and clinical pharmacy candidate from Iran with a strong focus on neuropharmacology and translational neuroscience. She completed her Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) at the Islamic Azad University of Medical Sciences, where her thesis explored the antidepressant and anxiolytic effects of dextromethorphan through cholinergic pathways in collaboration with Tehran University. Her research interests include experimental models of psychiatric disorders, mechanisms of mood regulation, and the development of novel therapeutic strategies. In addition to her research activities, she translated the 2023 edition of Lippincott Illustrated Reviews: Pharmacology into Persian. She has contributed to several pharmacology and clinical pharmacy projects, presented at national scientific congresses, and remains an active member of USERN. She is proud to present some results of her thesis at the WCP2026 congress.

Dr. Li-Hong Long is the Professor of Department of Pharmacology, School of Basic Medicine, Huazhong University of Science and Technology..
She became faculty at Huazhong University in 2002, where she earned PhD degree in 2007 and moved up the ranks. From March 2012 to April 2014, she worked as a visiting associate professor at Yale Medical School.
Her work focuses on the mechanism neuropsychological disease to find potential therapeutic targets, with special interest in metabolic underpinnings to protect against anxiety and depression. Her recent publication could be found in Nature metabolism, Journal of Clinical Investigation, Advanced Science and Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy.
