Novel botanical ingredients regulate the gut-muscle axis in mice toward anti-aging effects
Biography
Professor Lie-Fen Shyur is a Distinguished Research Fellow in the Agricultural Biotechnology Research Center, Academia Sinica, and also holds adjunct or joint professorships at thirteen academic/research institutions in Taiwan. The ultimate goal of Dr. Shyur’s lab research is to develop plant-based agents for human and animal health care. Her research achievements include publication of >120 research articles in high-profile and reputed journals, such as Pharmacological Research, Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Cancer Research, International Journal of Cancer, Molecular and Cancer Therapeutics, Molecular Oncology, Current Opinion in Chemical Biology, Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, etc. Dr. Shyur has obtained >35 international patents and several national and prestigious awards. In 2017, Shyur lab in collaboration with Development Center for Biotechnology (DCB), Taiwan received U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) approval for Zhaohe Cao-based botanical drug as an Investigational New Drug (IND) for cancer therapy.

Biography
Dangge Wang is a principal investigator at Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, Shanghai General Hospital. He obtained his B.S. degree at Fudan University and Ph.D degree at Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, CAS. He has published more than 28 peer-reviewed papers in journals including Sci Immunol, Natl Sci Rev, Sci Adv, Nat Commun, Adv Mater, Nano Today, ACS Nano, Nano Lett, Adv Funct Mater and so on. He has applied more than 10 patents with 6 authorized. His group focuses on improving immunotherapy efficiency in various types of cancer by smart drug delivery systems. He has made a series of contributions to targeted drug delivery systems including the design, construction and mechanistic study of novel nanosized drug delivery systems with higher efficacy and lower toxicity.

Biography
Xin Luan is currently a Professor at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutics from China Pharmaceutical University in 2011 and obtained his Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2016. He subsequently completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Michigan in 2018. His research primarily focuses on the discovery and antitumor mechanism of bioactive natural products toward new drug leads.

Dr. Lanyi Wei is a clinical pharmacy researcher at the Department of Pharmacy, Huashan Hospital, Fudan University, Shanghai, China. Her research focused on clinical pharmacology and the antitumor pharmacology of traditional Chinese medicine. She has published three first-author papers in Q1 SCI journals and one first-author paper in a Q2 SCI journal.

Jiranan Chotitumnavee is a lecturer in the Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Dentistry, Mahidol University, Thailand. Her research focuses on epigenetic regulation and targeted protein degradation, particularly PROTAC-based strategy, to elucidate how HDAC8-targeting PROTAC influence cancer cell survival and cellular functions.
