Biography
Dr. Leontina-Elena Filipiuc is a Scientific Researcher III at the Advanced Center for Research and Development in Experimental Medicine “Prof. Ostin C. Mungiu” (CEMEX), “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Iași, Romania. She holds a Master’s degree in Pharmacy, completed residency training in Clinical Pharmacy, and earned a PhD in Medical Sciences (Medicine/Pharmacology) focused on natural and synthetic cannabinoids in chronic neuropathic pain. Her interdisciplinary background includes formal training in Computer Science and professional experience in software development and IT education, supporting her work at the interface of experimental pharmacology and data-driven research.
With expertise in clinical pharmacy, experimental pharmacology, and preclinical research, her work connects mechanistic insights with translational applications in pain therapy and cannabinoid science. She contributes to in vivo and in vitro studies, pharmacokinetic modeling, and study design with rigorous ethical standards. She has participated in national, internal, private, and EU-supported projects and actively disseminates her research through publications and international conferences.

Biography
Bogdan-Ionel Tamba, MD, PhD, is a Professor in the Department of Pharmacology, Clinical Pharmacology and Algesiology, Head of the Advanced Center for Research and Development in Experimental Medicine “Prof. Ostin C. Mungiu” at “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Iași, Romania, and a Primary Physician in Clinical Pharmacology. His primary activity focuses on research leadership, project coordination, supervision of PhD and trainee students, and participation in numerous competitive research projects. He has authored over 100 publications in indexed journals, with an h-index of 29, reflecting sustained output in translational pharmacology. His training includes a habilitation degree, a PhD in Medicine, board certification in clinical pharmacology, and additional education in drug and medical device development and healthcare management. He is active in international professional societies and has received several awards for excellence in medical research. His research focuses on preclinical pharmacology and nociception, with expanded interests in nanotechnologies, drug-delivery systems, and cannabinoid pharmacology for neuropathic pain.

Biography
Maftuchah Rochmanti is the Director of Education at Universitas Airlangga and serves as the First Chair of the Executive Board of the Indonesian Pharmacology Association (Pengurus Besar Ikatan Farmakologi Indonesia – PB IKAFARI). She completed her doctoral and master’s degrees at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Airlangga. In her academic role, she teaches pharmacology at the Department of Anatomy, Histology, and Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Airlangga. Her research focuses on pharmacology in non-communicable diseases, particularly diabetes mellitus and dyslipidemia, encompassing both conventional pharmacotherapy and the development and evaluation of herbal medicines. She is also an established author of pharmacology textbooks for medical and nursing education, contributing significantly to the dissemination and standardization of pharmacological knowledge across health professions.

Igor Rubinić, MD, is a clinical pharmacologist at the Clinical Hospital Centre Rijeka and a doctoral student in biomedical sciences at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Rijeka, Croatia. His research focuses on antimicrobial stewardship, multidrug-resistant organisms, and microbiome-based interventions, including faecal microbiota transplantation. He is a member of EurFMT and serves on the Executive Board of the European Drug Utilization Research Group (EuroDURG).

Biography
Dr. Vandana S. Nikam is Professor and Head of the Pharmacology Department at STES’s Smt. Kashibai Navale College of Pharmacy, affiliated with S. P. Pune University, India. She previously served as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Heart and Lung Research, Germany (2008–2012). Dr. Nikam earned her M.Sc. in Molecular Bioengineering from the Technical University of Graz, Austria, and her Ph.D. from the School of Medicine, University of Giessen, Germany. She also holds a Master and Bachelor of Pharmacy from S.N.D.T. University, Mumbai, and began her career at the Pharmacology Department of Hoechst Marion Roussel (Quest Institute of Life Sciences, Nicholas Piramal), Mumbai.
Her research expertise spans computational pharmacology, toxicology, meta-analysis, and molecular and cellular biology of diseases, with a focus on potential phytochemicals from indigenous medicinal plants. She has received the Professor Man Mohan Sharma Science and Technology Award (2023), an honorarium from United Therapeutics, and scholarships from the German Research Foundation, Technical University of Graz, and the Afro-Asiatische Institute, Austria.
Dr. Nikam has published extensively in journals such as Nature Communications, British Journal of Pharmacology, European Respiratory Journal, AAPS PharmSciTech, and Indian Journal of Pharmacology, and contributed 14 chapters to four books. She has presented her research at international conferences including the American Thoracic Society, European Respiratory Society, and Austrian Pharmacological Society meetings, and has supervised 47 M.Pharm and 3 Ph.D. students.
She leads projects funded by the German Research Foundation, AICTE, and RGSTC, and collaborates with Agharkar Research Institute, CCIH, IDS at S.P. Pune University, and BNCP at Mumbai University. Dr. Nikam serves on the Board of the School of Medicine and Paramedical Sciences, Mizoram University, and as a Councilor of the Transparency and Reproducibility Committee, IUPHAR.
