Payment:

A confirmation email and tax invoice will be sent to you within a few minutes of registering. If you do not receive this email, please check your junk/spam folder first and then contact the congress secretariat.

Registration fees can be paid by EFT or online by Visa or MasterCard. Simply select your preferred method of payment when you reach the payment page. If applicable, please ensure you forward your confirmation email and invoice to your accounts department for processing.

Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) provides:

  • Separate male and female prayer rooms with washing facilities near the customer service desk.
  • Cloakroom space at the Customer Service Desk; please note we do not hold bags at the Registration Desk.
  • Hearing assistance systems in most meeting rooms; delegates can pre-book a receiver for hearing aids or headphones. Please let us know if you require this service.
  • Complimentary wheelchair service with limited availability on a first-come, first-served basis; you can pre-book a wheelchair by contacting the MCEC Customer Service Desk.

All delegates, sponsors, volunteers, and staff at this ASCEPT, APFP & APSA 2024 Joint Congress are expected to abide by the following code of conduct, which applies throughout the congress. ASCEPT, APFP & APSA encourage communication and behaviour that is respectful with every interaction, and aim to create a supportive, non-judgemental, friendly, inclusive, and professional learning environment for everybody to enjoy. Our ‘Code of Conduct’ helps to uphold these community values for our delegates, sponsors, volunteers, and staff. We recognise all Australian laws relevant to Discrimination and Sexual Harassment (Anti-Discrimination and Human Rights Legislation Amendment (Respect at Work) Bill 2022) and are committed to the safety of our attendees. We want all attendees to feel safe and supported in raising any concerns about breaches of the code of conduct with us.

ASCEPT, APFP & APSA are inclusive organisations, and have zero tolerance for discriminatory or harassing behaviour of any kind. If a person demonstrates behaviour consistent with harassment or discrimination, the congress organisers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or removal from the congress.

How to report issues and where to find support: If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of congress staff immediately. Congress staff can be found at the registration desk. All concerns will be addressed confidentially. With your permission, concerns may be referred to the ASCEPT, APFP & APSA Executive for further consideration.

Early bird registration fees are available up to 11:59PM Friday 30 August 2024. Standard fees apply from 12:00AM Saturday 31 August 2024.

APFP member registration:

The Asia-Pacific Federation of Pharmacologists represents member societies from around the Asia-Pacific region. Registrants who are paid members/student members of one of the affiliated societies are entitled to registration at the ASCEPT, APFP & APSA member rate. EMCR registration:

Early-mid career researchers (EMCR) within 10 years of their PhD (excluding career disruptions) are offered a reduced registration fee in recognition of their importance to their relevant organisations and the increased financial constraints they currently face. To be eligible for the reduced registration rate, EMCRs should upload at the time of registration a brief letter signed by their Head of Department/School confirming that they fit the eligibility criteria.

Student registration:

Student registration is available for those studying and who hold a current Student Identification Card. To be eligible you will need to upload a copy of your student ID card or a written statement from your supervisor verifying your student status during the registration process.

Cancellation fees

Cancellations must be advised by email to the congress organiser. If you cancel your registration:

  1. before 5 pm on Friday 30 August 2024, you will receive a full refund of monies actually received, less a cancellation fee of AUD110;
  2. after the date referred to in paragraph (a), You have no entitlement to a refund of any amount.

Payment is due 14 days from the date of registration or prior to the commencement of the congress (whichever is first). If you are seeking the early bird registration rate, payment must be made prior to the early bird deadline.

All payments must be in Australian dollars. Payment may be made by:
