Australian Foundry Institute 60th Annual National Conference
Queensland: Beautiful one day, 'Pouring' the next From sandy beaches to the foundry, we’re bringing the Foundry back to the beach….
On behalf of the AFI Queensland Division Conference Committee, we look forward to welcoming you to the 60th Australian Foundry Institute (AFI) National Conference, to be held at Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise from Thursday 8 to Saturday 10 October 2026.
This year’s conference theme reflects both the unique character of Queensland and the essential role of foundries in shaping Australia’s future. Just as the foundry transforms recycled and raw materials through the art of pouring, so too this conference will inspire transformation through the sharing of knowledge, research, and ideas.
Across three days, leading speakers and experts will share new developments and technologies in foundry processes, safety, markets, and management.
Delegates will gain insights into the challenges and opportunities facing the industry, and explore trends in business, investment, research, and policy that are shaping our future direction.
Alongside the technical program, colleagues can look forward to a relaxed social calendar to celebrate our industry’s achievements and the chance to reconnect with peers, presenters and sponsors in the vibrant setting of Surfers Paradise.
Beautiful one day, pouring the next—see you at Surfers Paradise to celebrate 60 years of foundry industry excellence.
Yours Sincerely,
Brett Reynolds
