Foundry Tour – G.James & Cheras Aluminium Casting
Delegates attending the Australian Foundry Institute 60th Annual National Conference are invited to participate in an exclusive technical tour of G.James, a leading Australian manufacturer of aluminium extrusion, fabrication and finishing solutions.
During the visit, delegates will gain insight into G.James’ advanced manufacturing operations, including aluminium extrusion processes, finishing technologies and integrated production capabilities.
As part of the tour, delegates will also visit Cheras Aluminium Casting, located within the broader site, where they will experience specialised die-casting operations. Cheras is a proudly Australian-owned aluminium foundry known for its high-quality, precision-engineered die-cast components and innovative manufacturing practices.

- Coach Departure: Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise at approximately 7:30am
- Arrival at G.James: 10:00am
- Site Tour (including Cheras Aluminium Casting): 10:00am – 1:30pm
- Return Transfer to Gold Coast: Departing at 1:30pm
