Biography

Kamini Peersia is a second-year PhD student in Education at Murdoch University. She has been working in a regulatory body for the higher education sector in Mauritius. Her research interests in graduate employability have driven her to explore this area further, focusing on graduate work readiness in the Mauritian context.

Biography

Jisun Jung is Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Hong Kong. Her current research focuses on the academic profession, doctoral education, master’s education and employment, and higher education research in Asia. Her recent co-edited books include: Universities in knowledge society (with Aarrevaara Timo, Martin Finkelstein, Glen Jones, Springer, 2022), The changing academic profession in Hong Kong (with Gerard A. Postiglione, Springer, 2017), and Researching Higher Education in Asia: History, Development, and Future (with Hugo Horta and Akiyoshi Yonezawa, Springer, 2017). She is a co-editor of Higher Education Research & Development.

Biography

Associate Professor Anthony Weber is Deputy Dean (Learning and Teaching) within the School of Business and Law. In 2022 Anthony received a Vice-Chancellor's Commendation for Outstanding Practice in Learning and Teaching in recognition of the sustained positive impact on the overall student experience, for the innovative creation of the first student-developed and student-led academic integrity program - Students Against Academic Misconduct - centred on education and preventing academic misconduct. Anthony was also the recipient of the Vice-chancellor's Award for Outstanding Contributions to Learning and Teaching in 2019. In 2021 was appointed Associate Fellow Higher Education Research and Development Society of Australasia and applied for Fellowship in 2022. In 2022 Anthony was part of a team that received an award for Best Practice in International Education award for Cross-Cultural Engagement with Students from the Subcontinent Academic and Professional Staff Resource Kit (CQU).

Biography

A/Prof Eva Heinrich has extensive experience in teaching information technology at Massey University in on-campus, distance and blended modes. Her teaching experience underpins her research into learning technologies, assessment, blended learning and academic development. Eva has served as lead editor of AJET and is founding executive editor of ASRHE, HERDSA’s new open source journal, focussed on research and researcher development in SoTL contexts. Eva is member of the HERDSA executive and the HERDSA NZ branch committee.
