Biography

Ronan is a lecturer in the QUT Academy of Learning and Teaching. He teaches professional development modules on assessment, feedback and the use of national student and graduate surveys to inform learning and teaching. Ronan's research focuses language development, belonging and social integration in multilingual and multicultural education. He is a Senior Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy.

Biography

Sam is a Lecturer in both the QUT Academy of Learning and Teaching, and Engineering Faculty. He teaches a range of professional development modules around student evaluation and various technologies, as well as large first year engineering classes. His research involves machine learning and textual analysis techniques for application in educational contexts. Part of this involves being able to summarise and visualise student written text, including in student evaluation surveys.

Biography

Vicky Chang is currently a PhD student at the Melbourne Centre for the Study of Higher Education, University of Melbourne. With a Masters in TESOL from Columbia University, Vicky has been teaching HE EAL and EAP writing in Australia, the United States, and Taiwan for the past 16 years. Vicky’s research interests include EAL/EAP writing, writing assessment, and feedback literacy.
