Biography

Professor Maria Northcote is a researcher and educator who has worked in the higher education sector for over 20 years. She has managed and participated in research projects in varied contexts including higher education, teacher education, schools and hospitals. She is the Director of Higher Degree Research at Avondale University. Maria has been a HERDSA Fellow since 2013 and is an active member of TATAL (Talking about Teaching and Learning).

Biography

Dr Hilary Wheaton is the Principal Advisor, Educational Practice within the Centre for Education Innovation and Development (CEID) of the Education Portfolio. Her role focuses on supporting University wide strategic initiatives, enabling their implementation with a focus on pedagogy, guidance, and system improvements in collaboration with other groups across RMIT. Spanning 10+ years in the tertiary sector across a range of academic and professional roles, including learning design and technology management, curriculum development and educator in online and face-to-face settings.
