Biography

Christopher Ziguras is Professor of Global Studies at RMIT, where he leads a large team responsible for the University’s undergraduate and postgraduate programs in global studies, languages and translating and interpreting. Chris was President of the International Education Association of Australia 2015-18 and is currently Chair of the Academic Board of the Centre for Higher Education Internationalisation at Università Cattolica Del Sacro Cuore, Milan, Principal Research Fellow at the Australian APEC Study Centre, and Honorary Senior Fellow with the Centre for Study of Higher Education at the University of Melbourne. His research focuses on the globalisation of education, particularly the ways in which regulatory agencies, markets, education providers and other actors shape international education, training and the recognition of professional qualifications.

Biography

Suzie Waddingham is an Advanced Accredited Practicing Dietitian with a Master of Public Health, Doctor of Health, and Graduate Certificate in University Learning and Teaching. She taught in the School of Health Science and Public Health program before completing a Research Fellowship with Menzies and managed the Tasmanian Collaboration for Health Improvement (TCHI). Currently, Suzie coordinates two research units with the Healthcare Redesign Program (SoM) and is the TCHI Research Fellow. Suzie continues to be passionate about establishing healthy behaviours among children, engaging with the quieter and remote voices in our community, preventing chronic disease, translational research, and building research capacity within Tasmania’s workforce.

Biography

Dr Anna Rowe (SFHEA) is a Senior Lecturer, Academic Development, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Education & Student Experience Portfolio at UNSW Sydney. In her role she leads and supports university wide learning and teaching professional development, recognition and reward initiatives. Anna has published widely within the broad field of higher education learning and teaching, with specific research interests including academic development, work-integrated learning, student feedback, pedagogy, curriculum, transferrable skills, and the role of emotions in learning. Publication outputs include 19 peer-reviewed journal articles, 13 book chapters and an Australian government commissioned report on work-integrated learning (2017). Anna is co-editor of the 2022 book publication, ‘Advances in research, theory and practice in work-integrated learning: Enhancing employability for a sustainable future’ (Routledge) and an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Work-Integrated Learning.
