Anja Pabel is a Senior Lecturer in the Learning Design and Innovation Directorate at CQUniversity Australia. She is currently the Manager and Academic Lead of the Leadership and Innovation Courses. Her research interests are tourist behaviour, humour research, and student experience in higher education. She is particularly interested in work on student experience using qualitative data from social media. She has received awards for her commitment to learning and teaching.

Biography
Mahsood Shah is the Professor and Dean of Swinburne University of Technology, Sydney Campus, where he provides overall leadership and management of the campus. Prior to joining Swinburne University of Technology, Mahsood led learning and teaching at several Australian universities. His areas of research include quality in higher education, measurement and enhancement of student experience, student engagement in quality assurance, and international higher education.

Dr Shevahn Telfser has been with the Australian Defence Force for 3 1/2 years where she has held the role of Director Academic Agreements for the Australian Defence College. Prior to Defence she was engaged for over 23 years in the Australian University sector as an academic in agricultural management and administration in the area of international education. During both academic and administrative roles she was actively involved in the university learning and teaching groups with a focus on the student experience and the relationship between education and employer expectations.

Biography
Captain James Hawley is the Director of Education and Training at the Australian Defence Force Academy where he oversees the design, development and evaluation of military education programs for the future leaders of the Australian Defence Force. James has a background in military education and training including his most recent posting as Commanding Officer of 725 Squadron; charged with training and developing the new generation of Maritime Combat Helicopter aircrew and maintainers using a blended model of aircraft, high fidelity simulation, part task trainers and classroom learning. James has also fulfilled training roles as the Senior Navy Instructor at the School of Air Warfare and as an Aviation Instructor at the Navy Helicopter School. During his flying career James has operated Ecureuil, Super Seasprite, Lynx and Seahawk “Romeo” Helicopters and completed multiple operational tours in the Mediterranean, Middle East, Africa and Asia.

Meng Zhang is a final-year PhD student in the School of Education at the University of Queensland. Her research interests include student-staff partnerships, intercultural partnerships, intercultural communication, culturally and linguistically diverse learners, and learner-teacher relationships. She has published on topics such as power in partnerships and intercultural partnerships.
