Biography

I am a lecturer in finance at the University of Sydney. From years of practice, I have developed a strong passion for educational research, with a focus on first-year transition pedagogy, academic integrity, and sustainable learning. My practices focus on designing authentic assessments and creating a feedback loop to promote student learning experiences and learning outcomes. I have a growing interest in student-staff partnerships to make the course inclusive and engaging for students.

Biography

Professor Shannon Kennedy-Clark is the Chief Executive Officer at the Central Institute of Technology and Innovation. Prior to this role, she held the position of Dean at the Institute of Creative Arts and Technology. She has been working in higher education for over two decades, and she has held a number of senior academic and leadership positions at universities and education institutions both in Australia and overseas. She is also an educational consultant. She has taught across the education sector and has had a strong focus on implementing learning and teaching and assessment frameworks in to providers. Her teaching areas include education and pedagogy, research methods, ICT in education, and academic literacy. Shannon is an active educational researcher, and she has worked independently and in collaboration with both Australian and international colleagues on a wide variety of educational research projects. Current research activities comprise developing an understanding of scholarship in private providers, data literacy, and using action research to improve practice in higher education.
