Biography

Dr Christine Slade is an Associate Professor in Higher Education in the Institute for Teaching and Learning Innovation (ITaLI) at the University of Queensland (UQ). Christine contributes to UQ’s strategic priorities in assessment and academic integrity and has leadership responsibilities in the University’s Academic Integrity Action Plan . She recently led a HERDSA-funded grant exploring why students use ‘buy-sell-trade’ filing sharing sites with the view to inform institutional decision making. Under Christine’s leadership the UQ Academic Integrity Team was a finalist in the augural Tracey Bretag Prize 2021. In 2019-2018, she joined a small team of academic integrity experts, under Professor Tracey Bretag’s leadership to deliver the TEQSA-funded national academic integrity workshops and toolkit of resources. Previously, Christine represented UQ on the international Epigeum Academic Integrity Development Collaborative, which designed contemporary academic integrity modules for students and staff. Biography

Sheona Thomson is Strategic Lead, Assessment and Academic Integrity within the Learning and Teaching Unit, and Senior Lecturer in architecture the Faculty of Engineering at the Queensland University of Technology. She is a Senior Fellow and Associate Fellow (Indigenous) of the Higher Education Academy and a member of HERDSA. Her research areas include academic integrity and curriculum and assessment design. As part of the QUT Assignment Watch team, she was the recipient of the 2022 Tracey Bretag Prize for Academic Integrity for an innovative software tool that detects when assessment tasks have been posted to the web, aiming to prevent academic misconduct before it occurs.

Biography

Alison has extensive teaching experience in the field of education, having designed and taught courses in both Bachelor and Masters programs in the School of Education at the University of Notre Dame, and in the Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education. She is a qualified secondary Science and Maths teacher and is currently an Educational Development academic in the Business Co-Design group at the School of Business, University of Sydney.

Biography

Dr Jessica Borger completed a prestigious Medical Research Council PhD scholarship at the National Institute of Medical Research awarded through University College London and conducted medical research for over 10 years, prior to transitioning into graduate education. In 2019 Dr Borger became a lecturer and the Graduate Course Convenor at the Central Clinical School, Monash University, establishing a Master's course in Translational Research and Medicine and convening the Translational PhD program. Dr Borger is now the Science Education Program Lead at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute where she convenes the honours, Masters and PhD programs. Dr Borger also works as Immunology Futures Editor for Immunology & Cell Biology and is the Victorian Representative of the Education Special Interest Group of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Immunology (ASI). Dr Borger was awarded a prestigious Veski Inspiring women STEM sidebyside scholarship for mid-career emerging leaders, nominated for The Times 100 Women of Influence Award 2019 and was the inaugural recipient of the Margaret Baird Women in Immunology Award from the Australia and New Zealand Society of Immunology (2019). In 2021 Dr Borger was the recipient of the Faculty of Medicine Nursing Health Sciences Deans Award of Excellence in Education for 'Teaching Excellence' and a second Dean’s Award and the Vice Chancellor’s for 'Diversity and Inclusion'. Dr Borger writes for The Conversation, The Australian, Times Higher Education, Women in STEMM Australia, Women's Agenda and Monash Lens.

Biography

Deborah Munro is a PhD candidate and lecturer in the School of Early Childhood and Inclusive Industries. Her research interests include career development, access to higher education learning, the impact of unpaid care work on women’s education and work and the ethics of care. Her PhD study seeks to explore how unpaid female carers are making decisions about whether or not to engage in higher education. She is a qualified teacher and career development practitioner and is a member of the QUT Centre for Inclusive Education and the QUT Centre for Decent Work and Industry.
