Biography

Dr Michael Rosemann is a Professor and Director of the Centre for Future Enterprise at Queensland University of Technology. His areas of research are the management and interplay of innovation, trust and business processes. Previously he has been the Head of QUT's Information Systems School (2012-16) and its Director, Corporate Engagement (2017-19). Rosemann is the author of more than 350 refereed papers and nine books available in five languages. He is also the Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in Southern Queensland.

Biography

I co-founded HEDx as content and advisory services that are changing higher education for good. I am a leader and innovator in the higher education sector with experience as a Deputy Vice Chancellor of Engagement and Executive Dean of STEM, Design, Built Environment and Business disciplines. I have a passion for strategy, culture, leadership, industry engagement and advancement. I have academic and executive experience of universities in Europe, Asia and Australia and currently work with the leading global universities. I am co-author of two books on the New Leadership Agenda and the New Learning Economy outlining principles and strategies that will inform the future of higher education.

Biography

Professor Anthony Whitty is the Director of the Centre for Education and Innovation at the Australian Catholic University (ACU). Anthony was previously the Associate Dean of Learning and Teaching and Head of Professional Experiences in the Faculty of Health Sciences at ACU. One of the key successes in this role was the implementation of the Professional Learning Communities to support staff engagement and the scholarship of learning and teaching. Anthony is a recipient of the Australian Awards for University Teaching (AAUT) Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Engagement and a member of a team that received the Vice Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Student Experience (2020).

Biography

Kok Xiao-Feng, Kenan is a Senior Learning Analyst at the Centre for Learning Environment & Assessment Development, Singapore Institute of Technology. He conceptualizes and conducts institution research studies and works with faculty members to design and develop education research studies to evaluate the effectiveness of applied learning. As an avid researcher and writer, Kenan has published several journal papers in various international journals and has presented papers in both local and overseas conferences. His research interests include regulation of learning, collaborative learning, cognitive load theory, and productive failure. He is particularly interested in the efficacy of learning interventions targeting collaborative learning and regulation of learning in impacting the learning outcomes of students from various subject domains at higher education. Kenan is also a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) candidate at the Nanyang Technological University.
