Biography

Lauren Hansen is an educator, researcher and welfare practitioner. She is currently a Senior Lecturer, Learning Futures at Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia. Lauren has previously held lecturing positions in Career Education and Social Work Field Education and is particularly interested in the intersection of the self, education and employment. She is an ICF-certified life coach and has a PhD in the social work discipline from Monash University. Lauren's practice experience includes working with mothers, both in the community and in private practice, to re-engage with education and meaningful employment.

Biography

Dr Joanne Lisciandro is a Lecturer in University Preparation Pathways at Murdoch University and has worked in enabling education for over ten years. Her current research interests focus on the scholarship of teaching and learning in enabling education; and understanding the mechanisms that support the wellbeing, retention, success and achievement of non-traditional students in their transition to university.

Biography

Dr Angela Jones is a Senior Lecturer in Access and Equity, and course coordinator of UniPrep programs at Edith Cowan University, Western Australia. She was previously a curriculum designer, Senior Lecturer and Head of Discipline for University Preparation Pathways at Murdoch University, Western Australia. Her current research projects focus on enabling education, wellbeing, learning communities and popular culture. She is a self-confessed EduPunk.

Daniel Taylor-Griffiths is a PhD Candidate at the University of Queensland. He has worked in various academic and administrative roles in Higher Education since 2006. His research interest areas are self-regulated learning, motivation, academic literacies, student success, and the student experience.
