Biography

A/Prof Grace Thompson is Head of Music Therapy at the University of Melbourne. Grace has coordinated and taught in a wide range of delivery modes, including large breadth subjects, small experiential intensive subjects, and fully online self-paced subjects. She is currently the recipient of the GEM Scott Teaching Fellowship, has won Faculty teaching awards including for best LMS design, and is a member of her faculty College of Reviewers for peer review of teaching. Beyond her teaching activity, Grace’s research focuses on understanding how accessible music making can foster interpersonal relationships and social connection. Grace is author of the book “Goal processes in music therapy”, and co-editor of the book “Music Therapy with Families: Therapeutic Approaches and Theoretical Perspectives”. She is currently Editor-in-Chief of the Nordic Journal of Music Therapy.

Biography

Associate Professor Kelli Nicola-Richmond (PhD, GCHE, B.Physiotherapy (hons)) is an Associate Head of School Teaching and Learning for Deakin’s School of Health and Social Development. Kelli's research interests centre around the provision of quality teaching and learning to develop work-ready health graduates and the provision of client centred, high quality health care. Kelli recently led a review of Deakin's Assessment Policy and a project that explored the efficacy and delivery of online examinations. She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Centre for Research in Assessment and Digital Learning Environments (CRADLE) Fellow. Kelli has also taught within Deakin's Occupational Therapy program since 2012.

Biography

Sophie is the Head of Department for Nutrition and Dietetic Medicine at the Endeavour College of Natural Health. With a longstanding background in higher education she is focused on the student experience, with specific interest in expanding learning beyond the traditional classroom. Sitting on a number of academic governance committees, Sophie is driving change in the higher education sector for more experiential learning that prepares students for industry.

Biography

Jo is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian and a qualified nutritionist and naturopath with over fifteen years’ experience in clinical practice. In her role as Academic Clinic Coordinator at Endeavour College of Natural Health, she is responsible for the clinical education of the nutritional medicine students in the Wellness Clinics across the country. Jo is currently completing postgraduate studies in Clinical Education. Jo is committed to providing evidence-informed training and to delivering the highest quality student learning experience to best prepare them for lifelong sustainable clinical practice.
