Dr. Jach has ten years of professional experience in higher education administration.

Biography

Patrick Dodd holds an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University in the United States. He has extensive experience in teaching and learning, currently serving as a Professional Teaching Fellow at the University of Auckland in the Department of Marketing. With a focus on Digital Marketing, Patrick's research interest centres on utilising technology to enhance student outcomes and improve their experiences in group work. Patrick's industry experience in digital marketing, particularly in Ukraine and Great Britain, was focused on assisting companies in leveraging digital technology to achieve their marketing objectives. With a deep understanding of how technology can enhance marketing efforts, he is well-equipped to impart valuable insights to his students.

Biography

Hanoku Bathula holds a PhD degree in strategy (AUT University), MBS (Massey) and MHighEd (Auckland). He currently holds the position of Professional Teaching Fellow at the Department of Management and International Business at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. He has taught at a range of New Zealand institutions and was involved in the Business Masters programme during 2013-2016. Over the last few years Hanoku has taken up industry positions in the health and disability sector and also for Immigration New Zealand. He is also a Fellow of International Society for Quality in Healthcare (ISQua), Ireland and a Certified PRINCE2 Professional in Project Management. His current research interests are sustainable development goals and healthcare leadership.

Biography

Dr Tim Chambers is a Lecturer in the School of Psychology at Deakin University. Dr Chambers received his PhD from the University of Western Australia and spent several years working across various applied sport psychology and athlete career assistance roles within Australia’s high-performance sporting industry. Dr Chambers’ research program has two strategic agendas: (i) explore the diversity and effectiveness of athlete support services, and associated environmental factors, designed to improved athlete mental health and wellbeing, and (ii) investigate the physical and mental health benefits of engaging with natural environments. Dr Chambers also teaches health psychology into undergraduate courses and is a Senior Fellow with Advance HE.

Dr Deepika Jindal is a Professional Teaching Fellow at the University of Auckland Business School and teaches Human Resource Management and related courses. Deepika’s research interests lie in job crafting and HRM practices. Outside her role at the University, Deepika is Branch President of Human Resources New Zealand Academic Branch and an Auckland Branch committee member. Prior to joining academia, she worked in an Indian manufacturing conglomerate, for over a decade, in their Corporate HR department.

Biography

Jessica Gildersleeve is Professor of English Literature at the University of Southern Queensland. She is the author and editor of eight books, including Christos Tsiolkas: The Utopian Vision (Cambria 2017), The Routledge Companion to Australian Literature (Routledge 2021), and most recently, Screening the Gothic in Australia and New Zealand: Contemporary Antipodean Film and Television (Amsterdam UP 2022). Her research works across the Centre for Health Research and the Centre for Heritage and Culture, addressing pressing issues of stress and trauma across a range of contemporary contexts.

India Bryce is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychology and Wellbeing at the University of Southern Queensland, as well as a member of USQ’s Centre of Health Research (Health and Social Justice). India’s research explores cumulative harm, trauma-informed pedagogy in higher education, trauma narratives and health, vocational behaviour, transgender youth and youth justice, and separated parents’ experiences of education systems. India has published a number of widely-cited books, book chapters, and journal articles, including two co-edited reference books, Child Sexual Abuse: Forensic Issues in Evidence, Impact and Management (2020), and Child Abuse and Neglect: Forensic Issues in Evidence, Impact and Management (2019). India is an award-winning educator whose teaching scholarship focuses on building resilience through trauma-informed pedagogy and care. India has presented her research at national and international conferences, seminars, and symposia.

Dr. Pearl Panickar is a Discipline Lead in Business at the South Australian Institute of Business and Technology (SAIBT). She has a PhD in Feminist Economics from the University of South Australia, a Masters in Entrepreneurship and BA from the University of Adelaide. Dr. Panickar’s experience includes program co-ordination, curriculum development and teaching in the tertiary sector. More recently, she has developed an employability program at SAIBT to embed work-integrated learning. Dr. Panickar is committed to ethics and social justice and creating a multi-faceted world through education and the medium of the arts.

Dr Indu Wadhawan is an academic coordinator and lecturer at South Australian Institute of Business and Technology with last three years of experience in the leadership role collaborating with teaching staff and discipline lead teachers to improve students’ retention and satisfaction. Gayle Brent is a Learning and Teaching Consultant (Curriculum and Employability) in the Griffith Sciences. Gaye's specialist area of interest is developing and implementing strategies to enhance staff and student understanding of employability, in both curricular and extra-curricular contexts. She completed a Master of Education and Professional Studies Research to explore the potential barriers and challenges to embedding employability-based learning and is currently completing a Doctor of Philosophy exploring the impact of an extra-curricular employability program on the individual student experience. Gayle applies innovative, creative solutions to enhance student engagement with employability-based learning.

She finished her PhD in Language Testing and Assessment at the University of Queensland, Australia. Dr Jenny Martin is Chair Research in the National School of Education at ACU. She is a published author in teacher education and science education specialising in positioning theory, cultural psychology and related methodologies. Her research program develops discursive approaches to studying human agency in educational interactions to improve dialogic teaching and democratic processes in education. Her teaching in higher education is informed by her research. She is currently leading an inter-Faculty Teaching Development Grant to enhance new supervisors' capabilities in the pre-HDR space.

Biography

George is a lecturer in the School of Information Systems and Technology Management at UNSW. After completing his PhD, George moved to academe after a professional career in the Information Systems field. George teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses: Databases, Big Data, Business Process Management, Agile Projects, and Managing Complex Projects. His interdisciplinary research focuses on a significant Information Systems (IS) strand: Architecture and Governance. He has published in top-ranking journals and leading IS conferences. His current research focuses on Digital Transformation and Digital Sustainability. Since joining UNSW, George shapes the learning experience by engaging with how students learn. He has a passionate belief in the potential of all his students and has a particular interest in the role of assessment to support students learning.

Biography

Roger Howley has over 20 years of experience in the digital and online media industry, as an educator, entrepreneur, Project Manager, Producer, Creative Director, Information Architect and Learning Designer. Working in both the public and private sector, with an emphasis on managing innovative e-learning projects, and with a proven track record in taking large scale projects from vision to delivery, on time and on budget. A common feature of most projects has been strong adherence to user centred design with rigorous testing, reporting and documentation, in highly political, multi stakeholder environments. Project methodologies used have ranged from traditional Waterfall to Agile. Most recently working in Higher education in a learning design role at RMIT University and Flinders University, bringing a strong background in evidence-based learning an theory to promote best practice in online and face to face teaching, in both synchronous and asynchronous environments.
