Dr Kathy Egea is a Senior Lecturer ands a member of the Central UTS Teaching and Curriculum team. In that role she leads the First and Further Year Experience (FFYE) program, where she was the inaugural l coordinator since 2011. .This university-wide program represents a systematic approach to enhancing the student transition journey through their degree programs, that provides grants, and data to academics, runs forums and a blog program for academics, professional staff and students, and facilitates a huge FFYE Community Microsoft Teams site (over 1100 members). Kathy leads a local team of faculty coordinators and together they work with an advisory team of professional staff in middle management roles to ensure faculty and student support are cognisant of current challenges. She is a STARS Fellow, for her practice, and was a finalist in 2021 CAULLT Global Good Practice Award. In 2023, She co-authored the inaugural module on First Year Transition for Contemporary Approaches to University Teaching (CAUT) MOOC.

Edmund Lau is a recent graduate of the University of Hong Kong, holding a degree in IT in Education with a specialization in Instructional System Development for Higher Education. His professional background includes designing instructional systems for autonomous vehicle development during the COVID-19 remote learning era at HKU and supporting immersive learning projects in social sciences at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Edmund is passionate about leveraging technology to enhance learning experiences, with a particular focus on innovative pedagogical approaches in higher education. His current research explores the integration of artificial intelligence and reflective practice to empower learners and foster meaningful engagement. With a dedication to advancing instructional design, Edmund seeks to bridge the gap between emerging technologies and learner-centric education in higher education contexts.

Professor Pauline Ross is the Director of Academic Leadership and Innovation in the Faculty of Science and immediate past Deputy Head of School of Life and Environmental Sciences at the University of Sydney, Australia. With over two decades of senior educational leadership experience at large and diverse metropolitan universities, and two PhDs (Science and Higher Education) Pauline focuses on developing contemporary curricula that provide meaningful experiences for students which are relevant beyond graduation and supporting the academics who teach them. She is known for her education research which encompasses the resilience of academics, the importance of elevating Indigenous knowledge and the evolving academic workforce in higher education. Pauline is one of Australia's most awarded academics, with multiple national and international awards for educational and teaching excellence and educational leadership.
