Prof Romy Lawson is the Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor
and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Students) at Flinders University. Her portfolio encompasses Learning and Teaching Innovation; Curriculum Impact; Academic Quality and Enhancement; Student Experience and Management; Marketing and the Office of Indigenous Strategy and Engagement. Prior to joining Flinders, Romy was Provost at Murdoch University and, before that, Deputy-Vice-Chancellor (Education). Earlier roles include Pro Vice Chancellor Education at Edith Cowan University, and Director of Learning, Teaching & Curriculum at the University of Wollongong. She has been actively involved in teaching and learning development in higher education for over 20 years in both the UK and Australia. Romy led the National OLT Strategic Priority Project on Strategies for Curriculum Mapping and Data Collection for Assurance of Learning, and has been a team member in other ALTC funded projects including: Embedding Professionally Relevant Learning in Business Education; and Facilitating staff and student engagement with graduate attribute development, assessment and standards in Business Faculties. In 2013 Romy was awarded a National OLT Teaching Fellowship for work on Curriculum Design for Assuring Learning. She has been an associate editor for the HERD Journal, senior editor for the Journal of University of Teaching and Learning Practice and she has also held executive roles with national associations including HERDSA, CADAD and ALTF. She is currently on the Advance HE Leadership & Management Advisory Board and Co-chair of University Australia Women.
Dr Kelly Galvin

Dr Kelly Galvin is a Senior Lecturer in the Education Innovation Exchange at Swinburne University and has a 28-year career spanning education and health industries. She has enjoyed a variety of academic, professional, and educational leadership roles in Higher Education across Australia and the UK. Her current work involves engaging in research to guide the learning experience to be transformational and contextually relevant. She also supports academic staff with national and global award recognition and teaches in the Graduate Certificate of Teaching and Learning.
Kelly’s doctoral research focused on developing an innovative approach to problem-based learning, designing an online decision-making tool to assist independent and group clinical reasoning development for undergraduate health science students. By fostering a research-teaching-practice- nexus method to her study, a collaborative and relational approach to learning design was achieved.

Biography
Anak Agung Ayu Redi Pudyanti is a lecturer based in Bali, Indonesia, with a background in education, having completed her Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in the field. She has been involved in research focused on education, educational technology, and higher education. Her close connection to students’ career paths inspired her to further examine graduate’s employability and career journey. Currently, Redi is a PhD student at the Faculty of Education, Monash University, Australia, where she studies graduates’ employability during their career journey. Her work has been published in book chapters, journals, and conference proceedings. In addition to her work in education, Redi is interested in the potential of generative artificial intelligence to enhance educational experiences and improve the employability of graduates throughout their career journey. She hopes to use her knowledge to contribute to the development and betterment of society.

Dr Lynette Pretorius is an award-winning educator and researcher who interlaces imagination and insight to reimagine what higher education can be. Drawing on her interdisciplinary expertise, she weaves together diverse ideas, lived experiences, and pedagogical innovations to create inclusive and transformative learning environments. Lynette has extensive experience teaching across undergraduate, postgraduate, and graduate research levels, including supervising PhD students. Her research advocates for more compassionate, equitable, and creative learning environments, with a particular focus on doctoral education, academic identity, student wellbeing, and AI literacy. She is the author of numerous peer-reviewed publications, including two academic books that explore the lived experiences of graduate research students. As a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Lynette has also been internationally recognised for her leadership in teaching and learning, particularly her dedication to designing transformative educational experiences that centre wellbeing, justice, and student growth.

Mark is a UNSW NEXUS Fellow, design historian and a Chartered Architect in the Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture, School of Art and Design. He has extensive experience in systemic approaches to curriculum design and innovation, the affordances of AI in assessment and assurance of learning. Mark has held several academic leadership positions at UNSW since 2015 including Nexus Fellow, ADA Director Education Innovation, Deputy Head of School (Design) and Program Director Bachelor of Design.
