Dr Sonia Khosa

Connecting QILT Employment Satisfaction Survey indicators to Higher Education Curricula: a streamlined approach to demystifying key workplace expectations for graduates. 

Biography

Dr Sonia Khosa teaches interdisciplinary project units at USyd. Prior to her current role as a full time academic at USyd, Sonia worked with the Indian securities markets regulator for over a decade. In 2022, she completed her PhD thesis titled “A Case for Deeper, Strategic Collaboration in the Securities Sector—India and Australia” at USyd that won the ANU prize for the most insightful legal manuscript in 2023, and is being published as a book by the ANU in 2025. Dr Khosa brings a practical lens into her teaching, utilising approaches and pedagogies such as enterprise education and value creation to inspire and engage students. Dr Khosa has received her Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, based on her successful teaching practices and her educational innovation and leadership in delivering industry based project units. The latter includes co-creating scaling-up opportunities for undergraduate students to engage with industry/community partners.

Biography

Dr Elizabeth (Liz) Goode is a Senior Lecturer in the Academic Portfolio Office and in pathways education at Southern Cross University, Australia. Liz is currently researching the impact of immersive block models on students’ learning and achievement and leads the editorial team for a scholarship of learning and teaching paper series via the Social Science Research Network (SSRN). Liz is the recipient of numerous teaching awards, including an Outstanding Teaching Award and an Australian Office for Learning and Teaching Citation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning.

Biography

Associate Professor Erica Russ is a Course Coordinator and the Director of Field Education in social work and community welfare having run work integrated learning (WIL) programs across social work and human services courses in two universities. Erica brings extensive industry experience including supporting student placements. Erica's scholarship focus is WIL with a view to student and industry needs for effective programs. This sits alongside a research focus on the social work and human services career path from education to workforce issues including readiness, wellbeing and resilience.

Biography

Professor Naumann is a teaching and learning scholar in the field of digital innovation, course transformation, Interprofessional Education and clinical assessment. She is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Fiona is also a Professor of Clinical Exercise Physiology, specialising in the field of exercise oncology.
