Yan Yang is a PhD candidate at the Centre for Educational Design and Innovation, the University of Otago. Her research interests cover thinking skills, educational psychology, and language education. She serves as an ad-hoc reviewer for SSCI-listed journals, including Thinking Skills and Creativity, Studies in Education Evaluation, Applied Linguistics Review etc.

Diana Saragi Turnip has over 15 years in higher education, specialising in academic course support and project coordination. At UNSW’s Nexus Program, she enhances education through collaborative changes. As an Educational Developer for the Faculty of Medicine & Health, she translates university-wide initiatives into local solutions, promoting sustainable co-design for educational innovation. She excels in developing innovative learning practices using online technologies. She is a team player who thrives on new ideas, actively listens, and helps stakeholders meet their goals. Passionate about professional growth, she engages in reflective practice and seeks feedback. Her skills include outreach, marketing, administration, research, project management, team building, stakeholder consultation, and strategic selection of teaching strategies based on needs assessments.

Biography
Dr. Daniela Castro de Jong: A registered occupational therapist with experience in disability and community practice. Her research spans programmatic assessment, inter-professional learning, international placements, and arts and humanities in healthcare training. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and an Associate Fellow of the Australian & New Zealand Association for Health Professional Educators (AFANZAHPE). Currently, she serves as the Nexus Fellow at the School of Health Sciences, UNSW Sydney, and co-leads the Community of Practice in Evaluation of Teaching and e-portfolios.

Successful integration of ChatGPT into T&L: A Case Study

Dr Violetta Wilk is a Senior Lecturer in Digital and Social Media Marketing at Edith Cowan University (ECU). Violetta has over 25 years of industry and academic experience in marketing and branding. She is an award winning educator and has been recognised with a 2024 ECU Vice-Chancellor’s Staff Excellence Award for Inspirational Individual and a 2021 ECU Vice Chancellor’s Staff Excellence Award for Citations for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning. Violetta mentored her Applied Digital Marketing postgraduate students to represent Australia and win the 2024 Global DigiEduHack Marketing Mavericks Simbound Hackaton. In March 2025, Violetta was awarded the European Union Erasmus+ International Teaching Scholarship which saw her teach undergraduate students and deliver industry workshops at the University College of Entrepreneurship & Administration in Lublin, Poland. Violetta maintains strong industry engagement and is a Fellow, Mentor and Certified Practicing Marketer with the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) and is currently an academic representative on the AMI National Professional Advancement Committee. Violetta has been a Unit Coordinator and Lecturer of undergraduate, postgraduate and MBA units since 2015, having worked at the University of Western Australia and Edith Cowan University in that time. She has written the curricula for several postgraduate and undergraduate units, as well as, executive education courses which she regularly delivers to industry audiences in Australia and overseas.
Violetta’s teaching and learning practice has been informed by industry and technological advancements, and she has created opportunities for students to apply their skills and knowledge in working on real industry case studies with partners and collaborators including: No Limits Perth, Association for Culturally Appropriate Services, The ForkTree Project, St John WA, Telethon7, Foodbank WA, Study Perth, West Coast Eagles, Quest, Swan Valley Winemakers Association and City of Joondalup.

Mary C. Wright is Professor of Education Scholarship at Educational Innovation, DVC (Education), University of Sydney. Prior to this role, she served as Associate Provost for Teaching and Learning at Brown University. Her latest book is Centers for Teaching and Learning: The New Landscape in Higher Education (Johns Hopkins Press, 2023).
